Samba

how ? :o

Windows.

Zip disquette

plug in an SSD into you're router
ensure you have at least 1Gbit cable
don using wifi
create workgroup in your windows network setings
drag drop files

sftp, standard install of Ubuntu is already set up for sftp. Use WinSCP to access the server on windows machines.

Samba/SMB, NFS, FTP. It all depends on the files and what you're connecting to it.
Could be a bit overkill for just sharing files

I prefer Samba to ftp, because somehow it has more speed and less delay when streaming video/pictures.

>copy file
>unplug mouse and plug into target machine
>paste

does this actually work kek

You're now aware you can drag/drop files to/from an RDP window. You're welcome.

that's too much work for a normie

USB drive is definitely the easiest way

windows 10

based

KDE connect, synching, file server on a raspberry pi

If it's just occasional file sharing FTP server

If you're on Wangblows turn on network discovery and file sharing. Seeing as you had to ask I guess this is probably too hard for you.
