double anal penetration

>double anal penetration
>Jow Forums - Technology
Anyway, the one with mandy mitchell and the two white guys was pretty good, nice cumfart at the end there

what is the point if this? Is it like the i pod touch? What can this do a 10$ chinkpod cant?

Probably has a somewhat higher-quality DAC, and a less cancerous UI (although only barely since it's touchscreen and presumably just a custom stripped-back Android distro).

For me, it's the iFlash Quad-upgraded, Rockboxed iPod 5.5g

Attached: LumPod.jpg (4592x3056, 2.63M)

looks good user, weebshit isn't to my taste but to each their own. Has anyone ever made an attempt to swap the dock connector for a USB socket of some sort or anything along those lines? I like the idea of a Rockboxed iPod, but I'm less keen on having to carry around a special cable to charge it/add music.

for me, its my rockboxed benjie t6

Is there any non-audiophile reason not to use your phone for music other than pretending you're too cool not too?

Attached: giphy_5.gif (250x212, 236K)

No, but why would you not be an audiophile?

Yes.

you will save a lot of time when not taking your Smartphone everywhere. Also comf

>Battery life
>Size
>Tactile buttons
>Ease of use

Obviously sound quality as well but the above are non-audiophile related

Some user apparently managed to put a USB type C in his. Though I like the 30-pin connector myself, since it also has a line out straight from the DAC and allows external accessories to control the device via a serial link.
>having to carry around a special cable to charge it/add music.
Using an extended battery and an iFlash, 60h+ runtimes are achievable. I have a worn-down stock battery and I get 26h (pic related) with the Quad and a 200GB SanDisk Ultra, never had the need to carry the cable with me since I only add music at home.
This would be the DAP to get if it weren't for the crackle and pop lottery.
Separate storage for big music libraries, more audio-focused options and being able to properly control the volume (fuck smartphone volume control granularity) are some of the main reasons for me.

Attached: IMG_20190531_133255.jpg (2560x1920, 2.71M)

At least for me:
>not risking getting sweat on my phone when bike riding
>not being left phone-less when someone "passes the aux"
>being able to change songs, volume etc. without getting it out of my pocket

>3dpd poster is a drooling retard
like clockwork

Very good taste in wallpapers user.

Anyone here try one of these bluetooth transmitters with an ipod? Weird I know, but i'm just sick of having to buy new cables all the time because I wear them down fast while jogging alot. Phones are so much heavier than ipods so no way in hell am I using one of those.

Attached: 244478.jpg (472x350, 24K)

I miss my gmini 400 guys

Attached: 1559102693630.jpg (400x324, 17K)

For me it's the Cowon D2

Attached: 1553800597260.jpg (380x347, 30K)

I don't see why it wouldn't work. I haven't personally tried it, but I just found this:
instructables.com/id/Mod-Your-5G-Video-iPod-With-Internal-Bluetooth/
It's quite an old guide, I wonder if there are external transmitters with modern codecs available.

thanks for the info, makes sense about the battery life given its physical size and replacement of the spinning rust with flash. I use a Rockboxed Clip+ and it get insane battery life as well, I imagine my great great grandson might possibly have to recharge it one day.
>fuck smartphone volume control granularity
This times 6 gorrilion. I occasionally plug my IEMs into my phone for one reason or another and it's either just too quiet or just too loud. How the fuck it's possible to not have properly implemented volume controls on flagship phones in the year of our lord twenty fifteen plus four is beyond me.

No idea about that specific adapter, but bluetooth transmitters in general work fine. Another alternative solution would be to invest in some headphones with a decent (and/or replaceable) cable. Most mid to high-end IEMs use reinforced cables since they are actually designed for professional gigging musicians who need them to just werk rather than autists on a mongolian basket weaving forum buying $20 KZ ZSTs.

there is no point. it's 100% audiophool scam.

>This would be the DAP to get if it weren't for the crackle and pop lottery.
yes, though its cheap enough to warrant an attempt and hope you get lucky

If you're an iFag and you want to play your FLAC library

spbp

you sound like a fag

>Anime background
Son, why don't you take a seat...

>>not being left phone-less when someone "passes the aux"

Good one m8

You know you watch too much porn when you know the acronyms for everything. Take a break, gentlemen.

Not from masturbation, just from pornography.

Asking again cause the thread died last time:
>Is there any way for the list of albums once you click on an artists name to include the year in addition to the name of the albums? It would really suck ass if I had to go manually rename all of my albums but it looks like I might have to do that...
>I ask because I'm used to things like spotify telling me the year alongside the album and I don't want to forgo that convenience.
>I don't always remember the order of an artist's discography (rockbox orders albums alphabetically) and I don't want to click on every single album to figure out what came first.

>not displaying the cover art even though your fucking device supports it
And yet you call people who hate 2D dumb. Very interesting...

It wasn't fair. Zune was so good.

Attached: 1538822241368.jpg (640x640, 49K)

Are you any good at software engineering? The album year is stored in the ID3 metadata of each individual track (as you presumably already know), although that does of course rely on it having been added when the track was encoded. The Rockbox database stores tracks rather than albums, and the 'albums' you see when you scroll through the database are just groups of songs that happen to have the same album name in their metadata, so the only obvious way to do it would be to alter the way the database is built to include the album copyright year, and then order the albums using that variable instead of alphabetically. This is how Subsonic does it, for example.
Short answer, unless you want to download the sources, edit, and compile your own version (which you can because it's free as in oh fuck my gnu has escaped and there's a beardy man eating dead skin from his foot staring at me), the easiest thing to do would be to edit the album names yourself. Fortunately there are utilities that can help with this.

I don't display cover art because it's a fucking pain to get it to work properly in Rockbox. It doesn't support embedded art.
I own physical copies of most of the albums I listen to, and I think a 12" LP sleeve certainly beats a 2.5" 320x240 display.

mine (t6) displays covers where kirino's comfy face is if there is a cover image embedded in the file

It doesn't support all embedded art*
Made a fuckie wuckie there. Apparently it supports some formats, but I can't for the life of me get it to work properly.

mine displays covers if they are embedded into the audio files

Attached: IMG_20190531_172707.jpg (360x640, 87K)

>any good at software engineering?
I might be good enough to hack together a script on a tagging program but yeah, compiling my own version sounds like a major pain in the ass
>utilities that can help with that
Is that something MP3tag could do or would I need something else?

Why the fuck doesn't rockbox do this by default by the way? Just fucking take the year of the first track and tack it on the album title FFS

I need to work on my WPS-fu. Feeling jelly of your theming skills.

its basically just a theme called redux with changed font and slightly altered bitmaps to accommodate kirino

>Why the fuck...
I guess it's not a common request, does seem odd as it wouldn't have been a major PITA to add when the architecture of the database was originally laid out, might be more complicated now, who knows.
>Is that something MP3tag could do
Possibly, I'm at work right now and can't remember the names of the utilities I use at home but there are certainly some that will automatically populate tags if they're in a database somewhere. Not being intentionally vague, just can't remember any off the top of my head.
>...hack together a script on a tagging program...
That was going to be my other suggestion - not the most elegant solution perhaps, but probably the most foolproof.

It's probably only a matter of time until all these shitty companies stop having headphone jacks and SD card storage in their phones. I don't want to be stuck choosing from a tiny selection of possible new phones if not having those are both dealbreakers for me.

yes

I already have a portable DAC/AMP. What should I get as a DAP? Also are there any DAPs that support last.fm/libre.fm scrobbling? $200 max, but I'd prefer cheaper. I had a Fiio DAP (an X1?) years ago, but it died after just a couple of months, so I'd prefer something more reliable.

i wasted 7 years of my life searching, downloading, tagging, listening in absolute entirety several times couple hundred of gigs of music.

now i just do few to few dozens swipes in SoundCloud(TM) Mobile App botnet to bookmark a track, EP or entire 1-3h mix of music I prefer.

how can i even begin justifying being 2005-cool caveman to myself and buy one of these things if they don't even have the vastly superior instant media discovery experience of SoundCloud(TM) Mobile App through 4/5G Wireless Network Technology.

Yeah, next you'll tell me CBT is an acceptable way of naming cookie and bread thread.

Are you that asshat that always points out that SDF is some French acronym for homeless people?

If you don't have a phone with removable storage and a high capacity microSD card, you're living in the stone age.

My DAP works better as a DAP than my phone does

>DAP
I prefer dual penetration, non anal
Just found out, for some reason DP makes me hard. I wouldn't mind participating in DP just to see her in euphoria. No homo, preferably with a dildo than other dude
Is it because I'm becoming old and my taste is more sophisticated now?
I like golden showers too, if it says something

Attached: 1434439802304.gif (700x827, 510K)

phones are heavy to jog with you fucknut

if you have a set of high end IEMs with balanced armatures, the ZX300 is actually a really good DAP because there is virtually no noise (hum, hiss, etc.) detectable, meanwhile that exists with practically every DAP cheaper than it. Granted, not many people are using several hundred dollar (or thousand dollar) IEMs, but they ARE that sensitive to noise. I don't think anything "above" the ZX300 is worth it, and really it depends heavily on the person whether IEMs that are that sensitive with a DAP that expensive are really worth it (also the balanced out that it has that the cheaper Sony DAPs don't can power something like the HD 600s on the go, but some relatively cheaper chi-fi DAPs have balanced out too, maybe not as good for those super sensitive IEMs)
t. iPod classic and EMX500 earbud user, I am ultra cheap but there is some benefit.

you can scrobble with an ipod classic i believe

Does it make sense to order albums alphabetically when you click on an artist, or at least not have an easy function to switch between different sorting options?

Same setup mate, it's the tits. What theme is that, and how do I set my own background?

>likes watersports
>dislikes anal
>is insecure about his sexuality ("no homo")
sophisticated taste my ass, I have more respect for brapfags than you

I'm not disliking anal, but DAP seems like only a porn thing, not much pleasure
I'm not insecure, would do DP with other guy, but prefer to have all attention
There's nothing wrong with watersports.

Attached: wew.jpg (550x811, 63K)

It's a modified PodTwo (themes.rockbox.org/index.php?themeid=2173), with a Nimbus 14pt font that supports Unicode (rockbox.org/tracker/4878?getfile=11183).
The backdrop is just a 320x240 bitmap.
You have to remove or comment out the %Xd tag in the .sbs and .wps for this particular theme to load the backdrop, it won't work otherwise.

I'll make this question here:
How could I go on making a DAP completely from scratch?
I would like to get an ARM SoC, a beefy battery, maybe some dedicated DAC, but I have no idea how to make the enclosure, where to get the circuit board printed and where to get the buttons. Aside from this I would like to make a basic operating system of my own but I can figure that out by myself.
Budget is $1500. I have literally no idea about electronics btw, some pointers would be appreciated.

>Budget is $1500
>I have literally no idea about electronics
You'd have to spend way more than $1500 on R&D alone if you can't do it yourself. Money isn't a substitute for a brain, or at least not such a small amount in this case.

I'm a computer science nigger, of course I don't know much about electronics, but it's not like I'm dumb enough to have to pay a chink for it. It's just that I think it's a good project for actually getting started in electronics, as I'm just thinking of strapping a SoC and a DAC together, not like I'm designing the fucking chip or anything.
But things like knowing how to transform a 3D model into an actual steel enclosure or a circuit board design into an actual PCB is something I don't know how to do because that shit is not in textbooks, that's why I'm asking here.

>computer science
>Thinks making such a complicated device from the ground-up, including all the systems integration engineering needed to make a usable product out of an SoC and a DAC is a "good project for actually getting started in electronics"
>not like I'm dumb enough to have to pay a chink for it
Yes. Yes, you are.
If you want to get started with electronics, go experiment with textbook 555 timer circuits or something.

Fucking losers, just use your phone

Well fuck me then.

im interested in building my own dap. Any resources on making working dac and how to achieve best sound quality possible?

What about Sansa Clip Plus?

Attached: 0F2EE744-B22F-4BF1-9FC8-7A7AB2CE6D50.jpg (576x768, 62K)

God-tier if yours doesn't have bad flash.

looks simple to use and lightweight which are both great qualities to me.

clip+ is top tier
i would of preferred to get one of those instead of the t6 but couldnt find any for a reasonable price because its been discontinued

You need to update to 3.14 my friend

Holy fucking digital autism. You are absolutely fucking retarded.

Few people know a joy such as this.

Mine's going strong since 2009, and still has 50+ hour battery life, with practically zero self-discharge.

I've been saying that I'll replace my ipod classic if it dies for the last 10 years

ty famalamazoid

rockbymp

A few questions, first off, I just use my thinkpad or my phone to play my music. What kind of dap would you recommend for me? I havent owned since ipods were a thing :(

Also what headphones to you guys use? I dont remember the brand name of mine, they were just like $30 from best buy. I also plan on replacing these. Any suggestions for a retard like me?

Attached: headphones_buyersguide.jpg (1313x1800, 439K)

xobkcor

rockboxed clip+ or this if you can't find a clip+
the tin t2 are gud IEMs

How's the audio quality in the T6?

the walkman does it for me

Attached: IMG_20190428_162134_1.jpg (3480x3777, 3.42M)

i still use minidisk

its pretty good i would say but honestly, i cant make out the difference between 192kbps mp3 and flac so dont take my word for it, its a $50 device after all
no popping or crackles on mine at least

It's alright.
Amazing smol and cheap device if you manage to win the pop lottery, can also play dsd and dsf files if you're into that.

Nice.
>play dsd and dsf files
With rockbox? Will it be dsd or dsd to pcm?

Nah with the stock firmware, rockbox doesn't support dsd/dsf or bluetooth (yet?) but you could convert them to pcm flac i guess.
also no idea, i doubt this thing does native dsd

Yeah
>sips monster
The walkman
>sips monster
now THAT was a good piece of technology

>using a separate touchscreen brick
why tho, that's no different than using a phone

fuck I want a rockboxed iPod so bad. The only iPods that I have is the 3rd gen nano and shitty watch one.

you are running rockbox right anons?

Attached: ipod.jpg (1479x1863, 525K)

Check ebay for some as is one. You are going to replace the hard drive anyway so why not get one with a bad hard drive?

This.
I got mine for free because it had been dropped and the screen and the drive broke. Got a new display and an iFlash Quad for it for 60 bucks total, best DAP investment ever.

Seems like the shanling m0 is the best you can get for under 500 dollars. High res bluetooth, good dac, good amp, can use it as a sac, sd card. Just a tiny screen which is honestly fine. Anyone have one?.

did you miss the posts above you or are you just pretending to be retarded?

I use my phone

one of the buttons on my clip+ broke and left channel loses feed most of the time now

this was my perfect exercise player for years
-rockbox
- physical buttons with perfect layout for adjustment without needing to look at player
-small
-clip
-sdcard
-OLED screen perfect for outside

If I knew we would enter this cancerous state of consumer electronics I would have stock piled these.
any good small player with the same features?

Got a 5th gen ipod video that I modded with:
-- 3000 mAh battery
--new casing for front and back
-- Rockbox
-- 256GB SSD

It's an awesome player but too bulky for exercise or extended use in pocket. I also dislike the touchwheel interface as it's more cumbersome to interface with compared to something like the clip+

too fucking big

i have honestly looked at gettting a belt clip for the ipod, but with it being such a Frankenstein monster it's hard to find things that fit it.
