My desktop was originally a Pentium 3 500mhrz with 64 mb of ram and a Millennium Matrox g400 max, 8gb HDD but over the years I kept upgrading it, dvd burner, 120gb hdd, a new case two years later, a new mobo, ram and a dual core Pentium in 2008 and finally an asus mobo, i3 cpu, 8gb of ram, corsair psu, an ssd, an amd hd 7770 card and a 2tb wd hdd in 2013.
1ghz T23 Thinkpad.
Not working but a SAI2 with a couple of 2.3 cores and 2g ecc (ddr400 I think).
Ran it with a adaptec scsi card ans about 1/2 doz 18gb drives in a hotswap box
psu died and just never bothered to swap another out - used to help keep the back room noisy and warm...

Some years ago the 8800 died, I purchased a new 750 Ti to see if it was compatible with the old mobo. If the new card wasn't going to work I would order part for an entire new build.
