So. channel-wise and spatial feature modulation (CSFM) is the newest/best method for image super resolution. How in the hell do I use it as a shader in mpv like FSRCNN?
Daniel Brooks
>and bloated.*
You need to code it. The simple fact you're asking proves you can't.

Do you even know if that's possible in real time?
Luke Sanders
mpv.net is so comfy. Now I can use it with Everything to find and play media.
Well then.. Hopefully someone capable is interested in it.
Not with current hardware by my understanding, as it is many times slower than FSRCNN, but maybe it can be optimised for speed. A fast version of CSFM, like FSRCNN is to SRCNN (?), would be awesome. But this is just my wishful thinking.

>try vulkan-async-compute >performance gets worse Well I tried

Try SVP Pro

>disgusting motion interpolation with artifacts everywhere lol no thanks
So MPC-BE + LAV Filters + madVR is just simply better than mpv then?
Joshua Mitchell
No. Those are three hacks, which together are almost as good as what mpv has built in. Remember, you also need AssFilterMod and ReClock to approach mpv's built in functionality.

Have some weird bug with auto-profiles. Having profiles for both 1080 and 720 content, if I start a 720 video and then drag-n-drop a 1080 video, shaders from both profiles will combine making the video sluggish as hell. Any way to fix this?
Zachary Scott
holy shit this is great, how did I not know this existed? I use Everything all the time.
Bentley Sanders
You do have glsl-shaders-clr, right? Profiles don't unnapply options by default. I assume it's intended behaviour that the options you applied stay applied if you let it start a new video with the same instance.
Jaxson Sullivan
Cause it was actually added in the last two updates.
smplayer, can we please add this to your mpv thread intros for the clicky-gui people?
Jace Cruz
noob question, how do i edit the subtitles to make them smaller ? tried googling but i just want to do it quick and not read a whole config manual...
Brayden Anderson
--sub-scale
Jack Edwards
i put that into mpv.conf inside /etc/mpv ?
Noah Howard
You would put something like sub-scale=0.8 in there to make subs smaller for all files. If you want to make subs smaller for only a few files, add a binding to your input.conf.
Evan Myers
You don't for mpv.
Camden King
you can use sub-font-size=x the default is 55
Grayson Butler
whats with this pathetic mpvnet shilling fucking wintards theres a 64bit build for mpv already why add more trash to it
Robert Roberts
I don't care about being on the bleeding edge so I've always gone for Windows builds by lachs0r. However it has been half a year since the last update. Are these builds just dead or has nothing relevant happened in that time?
thanks i made a config file in the dir and it just works now with
Ethan Baker
lachs0r makes builds on mpv releases and there hasn't been a release since then. There's been a few changes, like adding libplacebo, improvements to HDR peak detection, presentation feedback for DRM and GLX. Nothing huge. Development has slowed a bit.
Gavin Hill
>smplayer There is already mpv.net in the OP for clicky-gui people.
>.netaids >botnet >ugly >shitty, ass-backwards "gui" Get the fuck out of here, you fucking mpvnet shills.
Lincoln Ross
>better. Weird way to spell buggier.
Nolan Russell
nice false flag shill
John Gray
>completely destroyed

I guess we can say from now on that stax76 is the madshi of mpv. In fact, he makes madshi even a good dev after all.

Artoriuz do your job.
By the way, you should add to the tests the ewa scalers (ginseng included) with the jinc zero of radius 3 coz it changes a lot with scalers like ewa_lanczos r3.28 vs. plain ewa_lanczos. Also to complete the fractional upscaling.
shut up shill and add some valuable posts to the thread at least

>Yesterday I tried to run 4K Hevc file on my old pc and in both VLC and MPC the movie was stuttering. t. retarded brainlet not knowing that bad renderer will have better performance
You can change the renderer on MPC to be worse than usual Sync or MVR and it will be butter smooth just like MPV. It will also be blurry shit just like mPV
There is nothing better than MPC, especially when ti comes to customization.
