Is there any point to overclocking your monitor to 72hz to match 24fps movies? Especially on ultrawide monitors because those movies usually have the wider aspect ratio.

just get freesync
and stop posting that gaylord looking focker
Yes 24 to 60 judder is pretty bad if you're not used to it already. You could instead use madvr exclusive mode and set 24hz or 48hz for fullscreen.
deepthroated the bait. Also does freesync even go low enough to hit 24hz ?
Adaptive sync doesn't work with movie playback, it only works on 3D content, like games.
G-sync, and Freesync both do not function when playing a movie, no matter what video player you're using.
Why ist he constantly making this retarded expression like hes confused by everything?
It makes me want to see him getting punched in his face

Wrong.
How so?
What media player works with adaptive sync?
Media playback is a STATIC framerate, 23.976fps.
Adaptive framerate wouldn't do anything as it's meant to variably adjust your monitors refresh rate to match the framerate.
AND further, the LOWEST freesync and G-sync range is 30fps, it wont sync lower than 30fps, meaning your 23.976fps movie playback is well below that minimum sync range.
Where can you buy a monitor that needs to be "overclocked" to 72Hz? Even the shittiest today are 75Hz by default.
Just get a FreeSync monitor.
It doesn't have to, most good players can be configured to double the framerate (not talking about interpolation here, but that works great for 2D content too).
