I like his game and software reviews better than anything he does hardware related. He just doesn't know hardware as good as other retro youtubers.

LGR was the first youtuber I subscribed to back in the days when he was pumping out game review vids and he only had a few thousand subs. I think because we're roughly the same age and all his game choices mated with mine. It was supreme comfy but lately (I'm talking the past year or so) his vids are boring and not worth the watch. When I get the notification he posted a new vid I'll only watch it say when I'm doing dishes and techmoan, brutalmoose, E;R, Scott the Woz, RetroManCave or MechaGameZilla to name a few have nothing to watch.

Tl;Dr LGRs new hardware heavy content blows and when he does do a Software review it's normally some suber obscure shit game nobody cares about.

LGR is pure elevator muzak to me at this point. Good background noise, not unpleasant but trying to sit and actually watch it makes my eyes glaze over.
Haven't heard of those other channels outside of TechMoan (his coverage of audio formats is impressive, whenever I learn about a new one there's a good chance he's covered it).

Same. I still like his Tech Tales stuff and his thrift videos are okay, but like that other user said it's basically background music. I have watched his videos to get a review on hardware like once or twice, but he's honestly very basic in terms of content.
I personally only really enjoy watching guys like Jerma or Ross Scott nowadays. Everything else feels too sanitized and while everyone else is complaining about losing ad money those guys seem to be doing just fine without changing their content.
