Somebody's definitely getting fired.
Somebody's getting fired
So this is why I can't download my pirate games off of drive.
I figured I've been downloading non-stop for the past two days so they put a cap on my ass.
good to know their service is just shit
apparently this only seems to be a problem in america for some reason; europe and africa is ok, asia probably too
what happened?
It's like Jow Forums has never seen a network outage in their life before. Christ. How old are you people?
just a normal internet outage affecting the entire north american continent (am european and everythings fine)
you think it's another case of fatfingers or something more fun?
It wasn't affecting all of north america. West coast was perfect fine and so was my cellphone. You guys are legit underage if you don't realize what this was.
Google shit is down in northern EU as well
even outside of google.
Seems to be only a problem with some north americans then. I'm in Portugal and everything's fine; for everyone else other than a few americans it seems to be ok
Newpipe works. It is a cdn/dns problem.
youtube is sperging out a bit but I can still wtach videos in huelandia.
Wait anons,
Didn't the US justice department want to investigate google with parts of youtube a while ago?
What site are you using to download? Since GOD died I've just gone back to torrenting.
>he doesn't know
p-please tell me user I will do ANYTHING for you!
According to downdetector.com
>its a fucked up ssl certificate episode
trump hit the kill switch
Internet outages happen.
I was watching youtube during it, I was unaffected even though I'm in the affected area.
assange kill switch activated again
This is why I use aws
Nuh uh, youtube is a high reliability 99.999% uptime service, so I can watch my cat videos more reliably than I can call the fire department.
Based and Bezospilled
ya i'm seeing multiple nginx server errors all over the place
4chinks still up though ;p
It's back
it is just slow and a but laggy.
4chans servers are in japan I think and this is just affected the east coast of USA.
>4chans servers are in japan
HURR DURR
Not them but thanks anyway
if you look at level 3 history it happens every week at this time. perhaps testing 5G or civil bands taking everything else offline
Well, if he's in Japan, then his cloudfare cdn is in japan.
san jose i believe. the big farm
That's not Jow Forums's servers though is it, fuckwit.
those are all running on google servers, retard
comcast wasn't affected. t-mobile and sprint are okay but plenty of shit went down there and it's erratic connections now
google/youtube are just too big for their britches
AWS is affected too
when jewgle goes down it takes out half the internet servers
This, video urls still work
couple that with AWS which is also down
theverge.com
apparently cloud is hit. i bet some black hat is copying all my gay porn now
No it's not fine, eurotrash, I'm not in europe but we connect to the same servers and I still have the same problems.
Northern europe is bad too
Also I'm in southern europe which isn't affected but browsing Jow Forums and boom, Error 523 for a few secs before it goes ok
kek
ya all of kent england's cloud services are offline
>he backs up his CCs and passes in google safe spaces
Yeah I’m having this issue too t. Canterbury
>having a smart home
>having anything on your house connected to the internet outside of your PC, phones and maybe a smart tv
Normies don't know or care user
GMail is down in Swedistan. YouTube videos are barely playing, either.
>mfw I just filled out an important Google Docs form
I hope it didn't nuke it for some reason.
definitely a directed attack. monitors were taken offline like akamai
quickbooks and priceline are a couple possible marks
usa social security too
>north american continent
I'm in the slavlands and gdrive is proper messed up, even though still somewhat functional.
this is why centralisation is bad
russian hackers hacking the elections again
The chinks are behind this
see this is why everything shouldn't be running on google services
>google ads
>google analytics
nice honeypot bredda
THIS NEVER WOULD HAVE HAPPENED ON MICROSOFT AZURE
That's probably because that's where NYC is and that's most of the traffic on the planet. I don't know how their mapping algorithm works, but that'd be my guess
google skynet has come online
we're all doomered
its all over the east coast and out too major cities west like chicago
i doubt they're that competent
>mfw moot caused this
now its hitting central cali
we might go offline soon
nice knowing you fellows
>thunder in the distance
Beginning of the end
Looks like it's hitting the west coast. Also, my captcha didn't load the first time I tried it
people are reporting cloud data wipeout on email and storage as it comes back online kek
Hahaha they called me an autistic schizo for selfhosting everything on my homeserver, who's laughing now?
>cloud data wipeout
Depending on how their servers talk to each other, it's likely temporary.
i bet whatever links the cloud stack chain was attacked now they have to manually reset routing
>Well, if he's in Japan, then his cloudfare cdn is in japan.
Do you have any idea how cloudflare and reverse proxies works? Jow Forums has a server in like 5+ countries.
>Google Cloud goes down
>locked out of your own home
Do you have any idea how big the ddos will have to be to shut down Google?
Please don't remind me that god is gone. That site was too good to be true... Especially loved the scene section
I wonder what's like to be a google engineer or system admin in cases like this one/
It was China.
directed attack as in exploiting a recent patch
Until it actually does, shithead.
recent nginx internal rerouting patch happened a few days ago. so a 0 day exploit
part of the job, queerbait. there's a reason why they get paid so much.
>Mondays can't possibly get wors-
testing for Los Angeles. captcha seems to work fine so far.
You would need like 5+ exploits before you can even get to the basic non-dangerous backend data. And Google isn't exactly known for being exploited. A hacker competent enough to pull this off wouldn't waste all of these zero days just to cause some downtime for an hour. It's a simple outage, shit happens.
Does anyone else find it scary that an outage from ONE major company has taken down a very large portion of the internet?
Don’t ruin their fantasies.
How about Gmail?
>I can watch my cat videos more reliably than I can call the fire department.
>this commentary on the west
jesus slashdot has become an aggregator now
Lmao this is what you get for falling for the cloud meme
Hopefully all these companies crash and burn
b-b-but i want drama
Whoopsie. Guess I did a fuckie wuckie UwU :3
a somewhat normie portion
>Does anyone else find it scary
No. Because it should be expected.
