I've had a good time with Windows 10, no update had ever been a surprise, that doesn't invalidate other peoples experiences but to say the shit happens to everyone is disingenuous
Also if you have a problem with the way MS handles something with telemetry or what have you then that is really your problem, not everyone cares or some may actually trust a "debotnet" script or hell some people may even trust MS with their data or trust the various telemetry levels

check the fan area (clean/breathing room), if opened was paste/thermal pads put back on the parts it had any?

if its only 95°C during high usage probably fine too for 32nm i7 and possibly +25°C or more room temp

- replaced the thermal paste myself on 2 notebooks did change basically nothing on this the one in the jpg (mx-4 tp)

I washed out the fan and let it dry. It's literally dustless. There SHOULDN'T be any problems. And we're talking 95C IDLE.

sounds like you know your stuff, if it doesn't feel like ~95°C quite hot in the cpu area - the sensor might be fucked

either way it'll be fine i'd think "Max. Temperature 100 °C"

(disabled on my own nb "always fan on with power" in the bios to quiet down the notebook while its low use and prolly sub 45°C

Thanks. Sadly it’s not perfect, while the CPU/mesh overclocks nicely, my IMC is on the weaker side, but at least it’s quad channel. Was thinking about the 2990WX as an alternative, but for my use case this seems to be the better setup, for now. Once/if AMD releases TR with 8 memory channels, I will probably move to that, unless intel comes up with something nice/competitive.
