FUCK UBUNTU USERS

Ubuntu users are the worst scum leeches. They are like people who torrent and then delete the torrent before seeding even a little. Disgusting *spits*.

stop liking what i don't like meme.jpg

so gay

Then why do you use mint?

>GNU/Linux Mint
There's no such distro

>Why yes, I do use Linux Mint Debian Edition. How did you know?

Attached: 1559053891968.jpg (1080x1080, 58K)

you look like a faggot

>GNU/Linux
First of all, it's Linux/GNU, because Linux is more important and used more widely than GNU.
Secondly, distribution is called Linux mint.

But this is what socialism is all about

No, it's 'Linux', not 'GNU/Linux'. The most important contributions that the FSF made to Linux were the creation of the GPL and the GCC compiler. Those are fine and inspired products. GCC is a monumental achievement and has earned you, RMS, and the Free Software Foundation countless kudos and much appreciation.
Following are some reasons for you to mull over, including some already answered in your FAQ.
One guy, Linus Torvalds, used GCC to make his operating system (yes, Linux is an OS -- more on this later). He named it 'Linux' with a little help from his friends. Why doesn't he call it GNU/Linux? Because he wrote it, with more help from his friends, not you. You named your stuff, I named my stuff -- including the software I wrote using GCC -- and Linus named his stuff. The proper name is Linux because Linus Torvalds says so. Linus has spoken. Accept his authority. To do otherwise is to become a nag. You don't want to be known as a nag, do you?
(An operating system)!= (a distribution). Linux is an operating system. By my definition, an operating system is that software which provides and limits access to hardware resources on a computer. That definition applies whereever you see Linux in use. However, Linux is usually distributed with a collection of utilities and applications to make it easily configurable as a desktop system, a server, a development box, or a graphics workstation, or whatever the user needs. In such a configuration, we have a Linux (based) distribution. Therein lies your strongest argument for the unwieldy title 'GNU/Linux' (when said bundled software is largely from the FSF). Go bug the distribution makers on that one. Take your beef to Red Hat, Mandrake, and Slackware. At least there you have an argument. Linux alone is an operating system that can be used in various applications without any GNU software whatsoever. Embedded applications come to mind as an obvious example.

>image
Yes and it's beautiful.

Use either of them.
>tfw debian on NAS and Ubuntu 19.04 on desktop

Where are these chad images even from

I run Arch and do this.

Let me just delete them all then.

Linux is the OS, GNU is just a subset of the userspace. You could easily replace the coreutils with busybox, for example.

How did you customize your Mint ?

I always delete seeds, especially when I'm like one of the last seeders.

Oobantooh users are either new GNU/Linux users that are being brainwashed by (((canonical))) or simply just idiots that are too stupid to use a proper distro like Arch, debian, LFS etc.

Also, if you use ubuntu because you're new and want something easy, then try Mint instead. It's literally just Ubuntu with a good DE and less spyware.

Ubuntu is best distro, all the haters just prove it over and over again.
Canonical actually works with hardware producers to make sure there are drivers for your hardware.
Debians don't give a fuck, because the drivers are nonfree.
The compromise between open source and proprietary software canonical chose is a very wise decision.

Gnome is good.

Please tell me it's at least based on buster.

lol

At least AMDGPU-PRO works.

Historically, Debian was one of the first successful distributions, and helped spread GNU/Linux.
However, it has gone to shit during the past 5-6 years, there is not much reason to use it over other distributions.
Debian died with Ian.

Linux is just a kernel.

Don't worry OP. You will reach the last stage eventually.

>there is not much reason to use it over other distributions
There is when it runs faster, doesn't break and the upgrade process is more reliable than Ubuntu and derivatives. Rolling release distros are great but at a certain point you get tired of needing to read news and mailbags about potential breakages. Debian is like a giant rock that won't move or break no matter what.(unless you do something really stupid)I'm not sure what "gone to shit" means here, is this about systemd or something?

implying I don't use Windows
I actually want work done

I dumped Ucantdo last month, hopped to MX, and settled on Debian 10 Testing. If you're running Debian anyway, just install Debian proper. Anything else is schizophrenia.
Plus the idea that it's harder to install/use than ubuntu is obsolete. It's identical.

Attached: Me04jVBpicsay.jpg (457x457, 26K)

Rolling release doesn't imply bleeding edge.
Plus, Slackware is even more of that giant rock that won't move or break.

Snaps are the most pig disgusting thing I've ever seen in a linux distribution.

All Debian users contribute is shitty comics claiming their superiority.

Lol ok you fucking loser
Debian is shit anyways, use arch.

Attached: 1558921155186.gif (360x203, 793K)

It's harder because you have to get the nonfree drivers yourself. Not that much harder for more experienced users but it's intimidating for new users. I settled on Ubuntu after using fedora and arch because it just werks and I need to do minimal setup to get back to my usual setup.

>Ubunut
Good job, whoever the retard who made this was.

Also,
>or Debian
Yeah.
