For the consoles it was intended for it was fine but the list of games (and media files) being linear instead of a grid is a huge flaw now that games are mostly digital. It really shows when you have a fuckton of games in Retroarch for example.

How did they die? PSPs are pretty well built (at least the 1000 and 2000 that I own), so you can service them quite easily unless they are completely fried. You'd do well to look into it.

Yeah, you can get PSP-3000 or get the PSP-Go.
Mainly for the nostalgia, but it's a better handheld emulating console by far, better than DS IMO.
Also the PSP library is massive.

That depends on the emulator and settings, with the exception of few titles and mode 7 in some games, nearly all of SNES games can be played.
Also someone ported Ren'py engine to the PSP, so most VN using ren'py can be ported easily to the PSP, albeit it would a hassle to do so.

dont get a psp get a vita and hack it, the vita has a psp cpu so you can natively run athe whole psp library aswell as the whole vita library, just look up enso and adrenaline, there is also a homebrew that lets you dl all vita game called pkgj

God I loved my PSP so much. Shame, I have no idea what happened to it. I hacked the fuck out of it right around when 3.03 OE-C came out maybe 2006-2007 and fucked around on it non-stop. I don't think I've even held my dick in my hands longer than I held that thing. Didn't have a laptop with internet at the time so it was my first porn machine too. Great memories. I'll close out this blog post with a screenshot of PSPWXP, this super retarded html-based "operating system" that you could use without actually having to hack the thing. great stuff

I kind of miss the late 2000s/2010/2011 era of Windows (and GTK2) theming. It was the perfect era between the retarded skeumorphism of Luna/Vista and the boring flatshit we have now.
Just go on Gnomelook and look at the difference between all the varied GTK2 themes that are still usable today, and all the boring as fuck GTK3 flatshit themes that all look the same.
