I use it regularly since I don't want to take my fragile and expensive 6" touch screen phone into the gym or carry it in my pocket while running so my 10 year old iPod Nano that weighs next to nothing is perfect for that sort of use.

As a side note it has better audio quality than modern "flagship" Androids. Not sure what I'm going to do once it eventually breaks down.

this. OP is dumb. apple is just doing what they should have done years ago in de-bloating itunes. having sync in finder, and separate apps for music, podcasts and videos makes complete sense (especially since they removed the built in store last year)

Same. Burned all of it to CD's back in the day (I haven't actually bought music from there in about a decade), and it's all backed up on an external drive too. It was just about a year ago actually that I copied it all onto the new hard drive that I put in my laptop.

I never said you did. It's the copy you own. With a CD or audio file you have control with your copy becauz you own the copy but not the actual music itself. With Apple downloads you're buying the right to access it. You're paying for access not a copy.
