That's only if you're an enterprise who does modeling/film editing/animation. If you're any other enterprise network, you buy whatever latest business-class Dell/HP tower is on 3yr lease because an i5/R5 and iGPU is more than enough for 99% of users.

I run a software business and don't skimp on hardware at all, I had a 2011 Mac Pro but had to replace it with a Hackintosh (3770k, 32GB RAM, Titan Xp) since the trashcan was shit.

However, due to the nvidia driver situation, I had to slowly migrate away my actual work from the mac workstation (which is shit) so I was waiting for the new mac pro to decide on whether to replace that machine with an actual mac, or maybe a thin client (like a mac mini) and keep using cloudshit.

I mean at the end of the day I can no longer do deep meme learning with this machine so regardless of good or shit it looks I think I'll get something else. If MacOS allowed GPU passthrough though I'd still consider it.

I'm either going to get a Mac Mini or keep doing hackintosh (which is a bit of pain) and get a massive threadripper machine with dual graphics, and run Debian and OSX on VM's with their own graphics cards
