So what password manager should I use?
They are all either not feature complete, terribly expensive or ugly as hell.
So what password manager should I use?
Pen and paper.
Just get keepass2 and stop worry about getting "the best one". It's not worth the time
>expensive
Say what?
Keepass is just fine. Just has to remember one master password.
Do you?
a text file on an encrypted volume
I actually do.
What's the best pen and paper then?
firefox lockwise
Bitwarden.
I use KeePassX
Bad idea, if that encrypted volume is open everyone can see your passwords.
140gms Brugge cotton paper notebook
Pelican Vanishing Point Collection pen.
www.passwordstore.org
>he stores is passwords to literally everything on a cloud server hosted by a company that is entirely about storing passwords
>implying that isn't the biggest honey pot ever for hackers
If you're not retarded, you'll use KeePass 2.x and find your own sync method if you really need one.
KeePassXC on winblows
X on lunix
...
Linux / Windows: KeepassXC
Android: Keepass DX
Syncing: Syncthing
BitWarden, if you can afford your own server.
Thumb drive if poor-fag
>best pen
Pentel EnerGel 0.5mm, don't listen to that fool.
>Gelfags
Enjoy your smudges faggot
Windows: KeePass 2.X.
Android: KeePass2Android
KeepassXC is a fucking meme on windows and offers nothing over KP2.
KeepassDX on android is in perpetual beta and has corrupted several databases, mine included. So if you do continuous backups you can try it out but it also offers nothing over the tried and proven Keepass2Android
To KeePassXC fags: do you use the TOTP function?
Safeincloud
It sync over any cloud platform you want. I use Google drive
Don't use them. They're snake oil and just introduce a single point of failure.
encrypted text file with password hints only
use 1 password for everything. problem solved.
Yikes! You are NOT welcome here lol!
>lol
YOU are not welcome here
iCloud keychain
lol is internet slang for laugh out loud
how is keepass dx compared to keepassdroid and keepass2android?
My mind.
Jow Forums is going to give you the self hosted neet solution
the real answer is bitwarden or lastpass depending on what devices you use and where you use them
And what the fuck are hackers going to do with an AES 256 encrypted database?
Pass
Pilot, not Pelican, retard.
Op here, came fully expecting that.
I'll be using Bitwarden. It escaped my radar but seems to be what I'm looking for. Lastpass is not free and doesn't look much better, and I read about some security breaches they had do that made me discard that solution.
Lockwise also seems promising, and from a company I "trust" but seems to be early in development, unreviewed, and not as feature rich/ versatile.
BitWarden
none
Updated UI and a few quirks.
- opening database from an online source will eventually throw an error saying that it doesn't exist. You need to reopen it and reconfigure it for fingerprint integration
- android autofill and keyboard autofill uses different instances. It will always reopen and relogin if you use those even though you have and open instance already.
talk me out of using 1password or lastpass.
I need some easy solution for my normie family
u gotta pay for those
lastpass has free version and 1password has promo for 1 year free use
lastpass has had multiple security breaches so I wouldn't recommend that
This
Lastpass free is shit, and the trial gonna run out.
i personally use enpass. all the others are all web 2.0 cloud hipster shit or ugly outdated open sores shit. enpass is just right and locally based.
write your usernames and passwords an a piece of paper and put the paper in a drawer
Bitwarden (with either the cloud service or self hosted)
