>intel 2500k >$200 almost 10 years ago >can hit 5ghz at 32nm and the newest poozyn can’t hit it on 7nm >newest poozyn is barely 20% better than a decade old cpu >security vulnerabilities are nearly impossible to exploit
>core clock alone is an indicator of performance no you are capable of looking up benchmarks, do it faggot.

Fucking beautiful CPU.

>FX-8350 >eight REAL cores in 2012 >main competitor back then only had 4 cores with weak multithreading >2019 and only the top end CPUs are JUST NOW getting 8 cores
Isaiah Jenkins
According to UserBenchmark site per core speed of 2700x is only 22% better than my 2500K. A CPU 9 years old.
Are you fucking kidding me?
Samuel Adams
Since I can put it at almost 5Ghz, those 22% probably melt.
Why even upgrade?

I saw the ryzen writing on the wall when the made FX, yes the ipc sucked ass but AMD was capable of delivering 8 physical cores inside of a chip no larger than an i7 920, once they got their ipc game up, things are really smoking, also AMD thinks ahead because muh multicore is a thing now and the 8350 has multicore performance, 4c4t chips are kill

Unless some breakthrough makes Tejas-like chips a reality I don't think single-threaded performance is getting much better any time soon.
