The XDR display is competing with $30,000 HDR reference displays. Continuous 1000 nits, 1600 burst which is critical for authoring HDR content. Effects artists and editors have been frustrated for years without easy access to ref monitors.
The Dell is just fucking novelty. 400 nits, no HDR or local dimming, doesn't support 23.97Hz/24Hz/29.97Hz. If it was competent at all, you'd have seen effects houses buying them droves years ago. Instead, they bought consumer grade oleds.
