Earbuds in generally are short lived disposable devices, they always stop working after some weeks of use and then there's no way to replace the cable because no screws to open.
Use onear headphones, they don't suffer from this problem. And in my experience JBL has bloated bass beyond retarded, possibly to appeal the rap crowd, don't buy that brand.

Ur a good bunny, but speakers aren't any less harmful for ears than headphones, it all depends on how loud you listen to, 100dB on the eardrum is 100dB independently if you're using speakers or headphones.
