So an iPhone has come into my possession (not willingly, mind you). It's locked, says it needs an apple ID and password. I have neither. Is there some way to break this open? I've already tried a factory reset by hooking it up to iTunes.
whats fucked up is this is actually for a good cause, and I normally hate working with apple products. But yeah it looks like there isn't actually a way to do this.

a few years ago you could go on the darkweb and either buy access to gsx, which is apples service portal, where you could look up your device and remove the activation lock, or the cheaper option, pay someone and trust them to do it for you. Neither of those options are possible anymore, sine security has been tightened and some other stuff. though if there is a way, the dark web is the place to start
