just installed fedora on my top-of-the-line xps 13, when I move the mouse is wayland laggy? - it's laggy. xorg is much snappier.

i3 on xorg is way snappier than sway on wayland in my experience

i3 will forever be snappier than anything else, because that shit uses next to nothing for resources.

Clearly linux is inferior in every way to a funded OS. Wayland is a complete failure and actually a regression from X. Even though X is bastardized and never designed to do what it does now, it still does a better job than wayland.

Except Linux is funded by the biggest tech companies out there, including Microsoft. Wayland is way better than X in every aspect since it was made by X developers who actually know their shit and were tired of how garbage it is.
