Different strokes for different folks. For the record, I personally think you'd be better off getting a dock and external monitor for your laptop since it'd be a nicer user experience and not detract too much from your aesthetic.

Not digging the posters by the desk. The bottom row feels like it shouldn't be there, and the top row feels like it ought to be higher so that your monitors don't cut off the right two.
Otherwise it's fairly comfy.

It's not impossible, but it's more likely they were more likely used in a television studio or film editor's shop since they can resolve SD, EDTV, and early HD video signals.
If they were wired up right now, I'd be using them for much the same that I did at my old place. I'm currently an Extron and a mass of cabling away from getting them operational again, though.

It's a Toshiba TIMM, a multiysync 15kHz-capable monitor that I use for anything designed for lower resolutions

It's cheaper to replace one dead monitor in an array of smaller ones than one big monitor. Also, easier to juggle multiple windows since you can fullscreen up to 3 different ones in the "shit tier" setup.
It's more of a tech company than a Wall St company. Essentially everyone here is a software dev (we write algos and backtest strategies) which are deployed by traders elsewhere. My background: Math and CS from an okay school, work to work at a Samsung contractor for a few years. I met my current employer at a speech recognition conference in SF and they hired me there. Very non-traditional path.

As for my setup, I was tired of having my computer shit in my room by my bed, but don't have a spare room to move it into. Decided to move it all into my closet for a comfy atmosphere. The "get-out of the closet" jokes are never not funny to my friends...
