Im really interested by a distro as minimal, and having a source-based package manager. Is it actually good or is it just a bad meme ?
Should i just unnironicly install Gentoo ?

not a meme, it's actually good
it's really good but i honestly couldn't bother after a while so came back to arch
If you set it up properly it won't be hard to maintain it, ill vouch for it any day of the week but it's not efficient enough for me
God I hate fag propaganda. Why can’t this goddamned article be titled accurately? “One female penguin who lost her egg helps another female penguin who lost her mate raise her egg.”
it takes the longest of any distro I've ever used to get up and running (only because you have to compile a bunch of shit before you're gonna get an X server)
Once you've got everything the way you want it though, it's the best of them all
A simple guide to gnu/linux:
1) avoid meme distros
2) avoid complicated "hacker" distros
3) avoid corporate distros
Get something stable, simple, useful and independent like MX Linux, and stop worrying about distros.
>avoid corporate distros
Yeah, god forbid you acquire any useful skills along the way.
If you embrace corporate ways of thinking you'll become brainwashed and start talking in newspeak about open source being "purely strategic solution" that "grants you technical advantages in competition" etc. etc. bullshit devised to conceal the ethical core of free software.
Nothing can be worse for gnu\linux community.
It's a real pain in the ass if you're trying to do anything quickly as everything turns into a complicated mess unless you account for it
Because that's a shit fucking title?
