Thing is AMD had huge room for growth and Intel is old bluechip stock.
Literally all the Cloud providers -- AWS, GCE, Azure use Intels. *If* AMD can make inroads into the datacenter then Intel would be in trouble. Consumer grade level stuff is meaningless at scale.
