I just reinstalled my old copy onto my old desktop from 2008 that has a core duo 2 and 4gb of ram and it's lightning fast and outpaces my laptop from 2017.

What features did Windows 7 even add besides user security? Where did all the bloat come from? Windows Updates? I'd gladly run individual exes to forgo the headache of updates.
They fundamentally changed the OS. It's probably a miracle XP drivers work on 7 at all.

I like Windows 10 Pro a lot more. Better, recent drivers, better compatibility, less resource hungry and extremely user friendly. On top of that, it has a ton of power user stuff, too. XP didn't have WSL either.
I don't remember that at all. I remember having two sample tracks. One was the jazz one I posted, the other was Beethoven Symphony 9.

no. xp was an unstable, buggy shitfest when it was released. it took them three service packs to make it win2k tier stable.

Work at small company, but have over 400 PCs (300 laptops). Ran XPsp3 as the norm. All computers well dells but a mix of 8 different systems.

Built all 8 systems and patched, clonezilla'd without naming them or joining domain.
Then just used Clonezilla to image to all the PCs and do 15 minutes of work on each and some additional patching. Newsid was fantastic vs sysprep at the time.
I was putting out 20+ new build PCs a day instead of them putting out 3-4. Not a single issue.
