How many flash drives do you have, Jow Forums?
post a picture of them and a description of what they're currently storing.

Probably like four. I only use them for installing OS nowadays. I should probably just setup a PXE boot server in my home lab.

i haven't used one since i got a smartphone.
DriveDroid is an amazing app.

One is bootable with Ubuntu 18.04
The other has all my files (a few documents and a few pictures)

6.
- Solus installation media
- Debian installation media
- Windows installation media (from 4 years ago pls no bully)
- Some wallpapers
- Old dotfiles
- Older dotfiles

good god, cia niggers don't even have to put effort into this shit anymore, do they?

I have 5 but could get by with 4. 3 Ubuntu/other Linux usbs, 1 Windows 10 installer USB, one software USB with a collection of ISOs and installers and drivers and etc.

16GB drive has a W10 ISO
128GB drive is empty currently, but I use it to move around UHD bluray remux's to share with friends.

>posting your USB drives is somehow magically going to allow the CIA to gain valuable information

Are you retarded?
They can just look at your purchase history from amazon and see the same shit.

Tails OS :^)

I have 5:
4GB - Gentoo Installer
8GB - Windows 10 32/64 bit Installer
32GB USB 3 - Tails
16GB - Whatever live iso I used last
32GB - Random files to transfer between computers

I've had one of these for years but haven't used it in years. No need for a USB drive in >2019

I use these badboys regularly at work

Try nitroshare. It's really good and works in windows, linux and android,

Bruh, what's going on with that purple drive?

A coworker hit it while it was connected and bent the pins that fuse the connector to the pcb.
I bent it back to his regular shape and glued it. It works just fine.

Jump drives

Just get a cheap SSD and a SATA-to-USB cable instead. The speed gain is totally worth it.

1GB Arch live usb
8GB random data
32GB I was running Arch off of this one on my old laptop, because my hard drive was full and I wanted to try Arch. Funnily enough, that laptop had such a slow processor, that running Arch from a USB 2.0 jump drive was faster than Win7 from an HDD. The CPU was su much of a limiting factor.

Got a 128gb for shits n gigs, a 32gb because it came free with my external, a 4gb that I stole from some kid in 10th grade and a 128mb that I use to hold decryption keys

>Jump drives
This! Not all memory is flash.

Most likely around 30 or so. From 1 gb to 256 gb. I work in IT so I often get them like candy. Use most for live linux os and other items.

>fedora 30 live
>one usb with ps3 games
>one encrypted with porn
>other two with no defined usage

Had a 16 gig data traveller on my keys for a few years now; it has never let me down, even after years of farm work.
I have a bunch of random drives around at my parents house, but I have only ever used them when I have needed to install Debian on a new computer.

2, one has Linux Mint 19.01 64-bit and the other has Win10 64-bit.

Lol, i got myself and my family like 10 of these. They turned out to be 1 GB each. Besides them I have only a single 16 GB drive, which I use for everything

BTW, does somebody know how to mod their firmware so they can show the real capacity?

USB stick

Pendrives

I have 3 USB penetrators, all really old, honestly surprised they all still work.
8GB With latest win10 + crack + drivers.
2GB some ubantu don't remember.
And the oldest and most powerful: 500MB Parted Magic with file persistence.

Want to upgrade pls recommend a good bang for buck sku and how to avoid getting fakes.

I have 8x4GB sticks, they mostly hold updates and DLC for all the PS3 games I own so that when the PSN servers shutdown, i can still update and play them on CFW.
1 holds stuff for my 486 machine and my Socket A machine so they can be quickly re-imaged in perfect "ready to play" condition.

I also have another 8 pack box of 16GB sticks.
These have the updates that don't fit on 4GB sticks, like the Drakengard 3 JP voice packs and DLC.
I have a 32GB stick that just has all the Witcher 3 updates and DLC from before GoG took them down so I can install Witcher 3 from the DVDs I bought and actually play them without an internet connection.

I have a 64GB on my router as a ghetto NAS to hold basic files. Nothing complicated.

I have a 128GB stick in my GPD Win 2, mostly hold emulation stuff and ISO files.

I also have some CF cards for my Thin Client machines. I have about 4 different thin clients I use for various things.

mostly I use SD cards now
the only flash drive i keep around is a modded U3 to emulate CD drives.

>NSA testing their new technology to steal data from storage device's pictures
no

Who here sandisk with intel controller master race?

>inb4 some anons pay more for samsung
>inb4 some anons think they pay less by using recycled no name chinker nand.
>inb4 some idiot says sandisks fail prematurely or are slow because they bought a fake sandisk off aliexpress or ebay without registering its warranty to verify or buying it locally

Attached: 123552626.jpg (768x1127, 144K)

what flash drives use intel controllers?

>dat lil guy on the end

Attached: frogger.png (652x900, 302K)

Some higher end Sandisk models.

use lsusb next time you have a usb plugged in.

>buying usb's from shady websites

you deserve it

I have the fastest sandisk model available, so I assume mine does.

Flashdrives are cheap enough to buy locally or buy off directly from amazon.

Even ebay is loaded with fakes.
amazon.com/Kingston-Digital-32GB-DataTraveler-DT100G3/dp/B00C5K8E1A/
>Ships from and sold by Amazon.com.

Literally $6 from amazon warehouse and can be had cheaper if its a random shop but that's not 100% chance it'll be real like if it's "Ships from and sold by Amazon.com. "

If you have not a funny looking usb key you're probably boring.

the one on the left is mine, I lost it few years ago

chubby

a few but not that many. Last I bought was a 32gb 3.0 I got for like $5.

Cloud storage has limited my use of usb sticks significantly. Only really need them for boot storage and maybe a few important personal ones I don't want on botnet.

Large files are a pain in the ass over the cloud, unless both ends have great internet.

Do unused flash drives stop working after a while?

two 256 gb sandisk flash drives
two 128 gb sandisk flash drives

one is for fap material
one is for movies
one is for books
one is for miscellaneous stuff

Attached: 1560150701861.jpg (600x800, 76K)

I got them all for free. I don't use them

Attached: DSCN5128.jpg (3264x2448, 1.79M)

Yeah on wifi I get like 20 mbps. On ethernet at work though I get gigabit speeds so cloud storage is a breeze compared to usb 3.0.

Clean your desk. Just burn the keyboard.
If you don't use them why even bother keeping the one that doesn't have a case?

>that keyboard
user, I...

My fast drive is fast enough to beat 1gbps ethernet. So 100GB files or similar, it makes sense to use USB assuming both computers have fast enough USB ports.

It's the cameras flash, it doesn't look that bad in real life with low lighting

I used to have the Ravage usb stick but it was enormous and fragile and shattered into a million pieces on me.

If I ever get another novelty usb stick it would have to still be a practical.

My exact reaction.
What if someone stores a gpg primary key or SSH keys on a flash?
What if someone gets a bit mindless and shows a photo of the drive?
Just saying.

I used to have that one on the right but it stopped working on my main PC and I could never figure out why

How do you make multiboot USB flash drive?
>Install Win7/8.1/10
>Install debian
>Hiren's Boot CD, Gandalf's Rescue DVD
>Kali/Tails
>Can update old ISO

Attached: D8f3CcwUIAAmyIA.jpg:orig.jpg (1367x2048, 244K)

Buddy, there is so much gunk on that keyboard, it has risen off the board and partially covers some keys.
Clean you god damn keyboard.

3.
>512 MB with Debian netinstall image
>1 GB with some documents, plain text files and images
>8 GB with a some videos and music

For fuck sake clean that fucking keyboard

Not home so i don't have all of them on me.

>2GB Kingston as a Linux Mint bootdrive
>SD card reader with a 32GB SD card basically permanently in it
>16GB Win10 Enterprise bootdrive+software
>16GB Transcend USB3.1 currently empty but will likely have windows 10pro or PE
>64GB Toshiba USB3 (pic related) as a keychain stick with all the random stuff

I had quite a few Kingston sticks that are similar to the Toshiba but besides one that survived for 5 years they all crapped out or were lost after a couple of month or so.

>they mostly hold updates and DLC for all the PS3 games I own so that when the PSN servers shutdown, i can still update and play them on CFW.
are you retarded, user?

I have one of these that I just use to transfer files and shit sometimes.
