I am a professional cheese photographer, what steps should I take for redundant encrypted storage? I don't want to lose my cheese photos, nor do I want the anti-cheesers to take it away from me. Any help would be appreciated

have you tried turning it off and on again?

Is this 'cheese' combined with tomatoe sauce and baked on a flatbread?

Wait what

Sometimes.

cheese pizza photographer heh?

Just cheese.

Jamal give back the cheese

anyway, what you want is a server with luks encrypted harddrives, inside the luks containers you create btrfs file systems and use raid to merge them all, then you double that for a perfect 1:1 mirror.

Nice try FBI
but hypothetically if you needed redundant encryption Cryptomator would work with nextcloud/owncloud

actually on second thought, raid is a tradeoff, it's always better and more stable to save separate volumes since you have the 1:1 mirror anyway.

Thank you so much user, will do!

Give it back Pierre

what this user said, I was about to recommend LUKS+Cryptsetup because it has the advantage of being only readable on Linux Filesystems in case the Anti-cheeser who are looking to take your cheese picture away from you are Windowsfags.

Can't you get drivers for the various Linux filesystems on Windows anyway?

Last time I tried installing some kind of EXT4 support for windows 10 and it was awful, but i guess it will work if you use a vm.

email it to [email protected]

Post real cheese photos pooftah

encrypted FS on RAID 5 or 6

Trying way too hard

Just use Bitlocker my cheese photographer friend

if it's not aged 20+ years then it's not ready yet

I actually prefer my cheese quite fresh.

Is this the evolution of sink threads?

nigga u gon get b&

all the encrypted file system suggestions are truly embarrassing because any of those can be compromised by simple physical possession of the hardware and refusal to comply is admission.

Simply ZIP with a password and upload to cloud storage, like one drive, keep them in small batches and always passworded and you will be ok.

>cheese photographer
yeah, right

Isn't it possible to set up a veracrypt container that's plausibly indistinguishable from random noise?

fucking pedophile

Refusal to comply isn't 'admission' they'll just hold you in contempt of court theoretically indefinitely.

Why one drive? They seem horribly unsecure. I use mega for cloud storage.

Can't you make a veracrypt container, fill it halfway with dwarf and amputee porn so it looks like a plausible reason for an encrypted container then create a hidden volume inside it?
Then if they get your hardware you can comply by providing the password to the container, but not the volume inside it, they can't know there's more stuff in it.

yeah using windows rather than linux would stop them, not the fucking argon2id key they need to crack

Imagine if they steal your disk and try to mount it on a Windows filesystem, they would only think it's a bad hard drive not an encrypted one, probably will try to format it or toss it, at least the average Joe.

I prefer my data to be lost than to be found desu.

just admit to yourself that you were being dumb instead of this contrived crap

o-ok

Use mac, but avoid icloud or any cloud services.

Apple love protect creatives as cheese photographer.

Why the fuck are you willing to go to pounded in the ass prison for a decade or more for wank material? Like, jack off. No, seriously, just jack off. Shit, the fake stuff is at least grey enough that law enforcement can't be assed to care, jack off to that and get rid of the real shit.
