>Intel
>lowering prices
pick one, because they only know one thing: BRUTE FORCE. They're now going to go ahead and make a 10-core/10-thread mainstream i9 and have it require an AIO.

cons:
consume 70% more power
lower clock
boost lower
one third of a cache
pros:
costs 130+%

yes all that other stuff that was leaked about zen 2 that turned out to be false be damned
surely these totally hypothetical prices will be accurate

mommy lisa this nut is for you

That's gonna be 250 real watts, what the fuck. I thought they nabbed Keller to avoid building a bulldozer.

jesus christ

What the hell are you on about?
Do you not realize that they JUST CONFIRMED the price of $749?

We are witnessing a monumental shift in the consumer cpus

a shift from dual channel memory to dual channel memory! very much wow!

Attached: daily_picdump_2954_640_high_51.jpg (550x685, 42K)

Yeah there's zero chance of Intel ever cutting their prices. Especially now since they'd have to do such a radical price cut that it's not even conceivable for them. They're literally out of the game for years to come with these higher core versions.
When Threadrippers arrive they're going to be kicked in the nuts again. It's like every time they try to get up AMD delivers another kick to their balls.
10 core mainstream from Intel that still beats the competition in gaming would be one hell of a housefire.

>It's like every time they try to get up AMD delivers another kick to their balls.
AMD said the same thing during the Athlon days

With those clocks, the 3950x might beat the 9980XE flat out.

The more cores the average person has, the more developers will actually have to try and multithread their program.

Pretty sure it BTFOs the 18 core as well despite having less cores, as well.

Yep.
There are fanboys and uninformed people which will still buy it.
If anything, they'll increase prices like they did with the 9000 series, to offset the lower sales volume.

We're already seeing games scaling to n-number of cores. A few will often use at least 16 of the cores (with SMT idle) on the 2950X.
I think we're going to see 6c/12t the minimum to simply get a smooth 60fps on next gen console port games or simply next gen games on engines which were designed for the next consoles.
Sure, next gen consoles are 8c/16t, but the lower clock speeds mean they're the same as a 6c/12t at 33% higher clocks. Though they do also have less OS and background overhead.
But 8c/16t to 12c/24t is going to be the ideal.

Short them now and become rich. Why would you buy them after they're finished when you can make money during their long fall?

Would the 3600x be enough for 4k max settings 90fps gaming?

really? 4k is GPU bottleneck while CPU will mostly hover at 30% usage m8

I dare say yes. I don't play much games now, but ryzen 5 1600 gives me 80 to 100 fps in hunt:showdown. Though I have no idea what GPU will offer that kind of performance, even 2080 ti isn't capable of that.

Intel 10nm supershitter 2020

Why did they draw in a shitty line? Why not just invert the P and mirror it?

>8 core 3.8 GHz Skylake outperforms 16 core Zen 2
What

...

>3600X 12 cores
95W
>3700X 16 cores
65W

explain pls

95W is a headroom since it's aimed for value tier OverClocking. 3700X is coming as-is, so has pretty lackluster OverClocking.

Pros: 2700% more hardware vulnerabilities

This is no reason to buy the 3950x when the 2950x is only 50 bux more, motherboard costs around the same, you get a better platform, and support for 32/64 what ever core TR4s that come out.

Hello retard

If you want a 16-core Threadripper, get the 1950X. The 2950X is basically less than 10% faster, but still costs $300 more ($800 vs. $500).

The more vulnerabilities the better, goy!

>clownposter
>is retarded

Attached: 1559661506036.png (224x205, 43K)

Except that I don't need all those lanes yet, but I'd like the cores anyways? I have a good x370 board with 3200MHz RAM, it should be fine just slapping that in. Besides, we have no guarantee newer threadrippers will followsuit with AM4. I'm pretty sure they're going to do a new socket to include PCI 4.0.

It's always a possibility that they could just skip PCIE4.0 and go straight to PCIE5.0

That too but I'm not sure Rome has that kind of support.
Zen3 Threadrippers are going to be bonkers if they have 3 threads per core.

AAA graphics did not improve much at all since Crysis, despite current gen flagman GPUs being literally -two- orders of magnitude faster than 8800 Ultra. Even some Unity piece of shit won't run on C2D E8400/8800 Ultra with comfortable FPS today.

Anyone on an older core i7 series. I'm still not sure if the AMD bandwagon is worth it or to just get another Intel.
