>tfw I'm using the superior HDD that doesn't degrade overtime

nice bait

>tfw you have so much RAM that your OS aggressively uses it to put all your runtime shit in there and the HDD/SSD is barely used after booting and starting your programs
feels comfy

Consider yourself lucky. Usually they just die.

>Usually they just die.
That's what I fear the most.
Usually people talk about the lifespan of the actual memory chips on those shits which are probably absolutely fine by now BUT barely anyone talks about the SSD controllers just suddenly shitting the bed with literally no warning beforehand.

Are you retarded? Having "so much RAM" isn't a good thing.

>OS uses writeback mechanism for memory management for speed
>memory never gets swapped out
>data never gets written to disk
>computer crashes
>lose all the work you ever did since your computer started

I hope that's meant to be a shitpost

>not buying SSDs on a weekly basis

>not buying ram disk

>CrystalDiskInfo says 100%
>HwInfo64 says 95%

which to trust?

The one that was closer when it croaks

>unironically gaming
/v/eddit is that way, nigger.

*loud clicking*

>he doesn't use two SSDs in RAID 1 from different manufacturers with different controllers
I mean neither do I but it would probably be a good idea.

6 years and still kicking. This cost like 300-400 bucks when I got it.

>tfw have been regularly running 3 pass wipes on an old 32gb SSD I've had for the lulz

At least hardrives give warning signs. SSD's just break

What kind of stupid shit have you been up to? Is Ctrl+S really that hard?

>using and abusing my ssds for 5 years already
should I be concerned or is this a server use case meme

depends. i'm writing about 4TB/month on a 860 evo with no problems since february, and it is still at 100%, on the other hand i had past issues with some ocz ssds, they were starting to fail in less than two weeks.
