Why the fuck doesn't Thunderbird have a true blocking feature? I'm willing to ditch it for another email client. There's this one newsletter that I cannot unsubscribe them, I've spammed them with nasty messages demanding to be unsubscribed and they've only responded "you have to login and unsubscribe yourself" and I literally fucking can't.
Thunderbird's "solution" is to setup a filter that automatically places them into the Spam/Trash but I then see Spam/Trash(1) on the side in the tree of my email address.

No, they recently did a major overhaul of the Fx 68 codebase to allow near 1:1 API compatibility with XUL stuff, they rebased Thunderbird on said codebase and iirc they're currently tresting it

Something like this should have been made as part of the Neomutt program to begin with. I never understood the point of remaking tools like vi or mutt and incorporating the exact same flaws even if it is an easier to manage codebase.
