yeah well, i don't really pay much attention to the shit he says, because he's got a really weird autistic way of analyzing songs (because of his musical background i guess) and deciding what he likes and hates about them. but all that muh production muh melody muh riff crap doesn't mean much to me, so i just ignore it.
most of the time, i just use him to find songs that i like that i might have missed cause for whatever reason when it comes to likes, i line up with him 90% of the time. like for example this track

yeah it's very odd. i assume he is or used to be a producer, but it's still odd how much he hyper focuses on that sort of stuff. obviously it isn't a perfect analogy since i didn't do either at a professional level, but i was very into band and music composition for a long time and you don't see me talking about chord progressions and part balance every time a new song comes out
