basically this. once your activated it's permanent for that install of windows. they may ban the key so it can't be used for activation again though.

I've used a bunch of $5 LTSB/LTSC enterprise keys and they've all stayed legit. Some more than a year. I consider that a bargain especially since it entitles you to the stripped-down version which is basically Windows 7 SP4 with a goofy skin.

Go to reddit and find the software key marketplace. You can buy a legit key for something like 20 bucks.

For $8 you can bet the seller will sell it to 10 other people. Then eventually MS will catch on and deactivate the key.

You don't need to activate Windows 10, it will run forever without activation. You just lose the 'personalization' features.

Hasn't happened to me yet and it's been a year and a half now. Even if you do have to buy another after a year, it's far cheaper than buying it properly.

No some of them are enterprise keys or some OEM stuff that they just managed to get hold of. I heard sometimes there are those bought with stolen credit cards and what not too. But those who high ratings generally mean they work in the long run.
