What is this shit Windows?
> 256GB M.2 fills up after 8-12 months > same programs installed all the time > run cleaners, empty downloads, still almost full > Windows reset my instance and suddenly 100/256 used
What the fuck is going on. I have to do this biannually.

>windows Found the problem, thatll be $3.50 rajesh
June 15, 2019 - 03:00
>old windows versions >old windows updates >system restore points >driver installers >update installers just use windirstat/treesize/spacesniffer and figure it out, retard
June 15, 2019 - 03:05
>Using windows >it fills up your drive with updates to use your bandwidth for other sheep also using the OS >delivering backdoor updates to other people without your knowledge All you were doing on windows was gaming and facebook anyway, you dont need disk space for that.
June 15, 2019 - 03:11
>windows 10 there's your problem
June 15, 2019 - 03:19
>Windows reset my instance What is this supposed to mean?
This is my SSD with all my regular apps and 60GB worth of games installed to it. (I have more games installed to other drives)
The only time mine got close to full was when I accidentally hit the FRAPS record button when playing DA:O and ended up with a hundred GB worth of videos.

Check for hibernate file to, it's for faggots and takes up as much as your ram size
June 15, 2019 - 03:28
Nvidia also likes to keep a bunch of 500mb old downloads for it's shit software. You can just delete them
June 15, 2019 - 03:29
The reset option built into Windows 10. Just gives a perfectly clean install without having to format your HD.
I also use FRAPS, but I don't think I've had it auto record. Could have been the issue though.
Don't have Facebook. Do game a lot. Also use it for work. My work applications are small though.
June 15, 2019 - 03:30
I used a 128 with win 8.1 for 2 years no issues. Never had less than 40gb space remaining
Maybe you don't watch where you are installing stuff
Try using tree size free
Also windows 10 isn't good at cleaning up after all the bi annual updates like you said. 1903 fresh install will be smaller.
June 15, 2019 - 03:31
Spoilers: Most of it is in WinSxS and cannot be deleted without fucking your system over.
June 15, 2019 - 03:43
>Most of it is in WinSxS
Let's try it out: >old windows versions Wrong. C:\Windows.old >old windows updates Got one. >system restore points Wrong. C:\System Volume Information >driver installers Wrong. C:\Windows\Installers >update installers Wrong. C:\Windows\Installers
80% wrong. You actually did way better than most Jow Forumsentoomen though.

You don't look at that, you look at the lists above that boxes.
June 15, 2019 - 09:30
Run Windirstat and stop being such a fucking brainlet. Windows uses not more than 30 gigs at most.
June 15, 2019 - 09:47
You can't be this serious. Look at the percentages there, and you can deduce which folders eat your drive.
