It's better on Windows. Feature wise anyways.

wtf

This.
It's even better if you've used Premiere in the past.

i fucking hate spics

Why's she making the I just saw a black person face?

>video editing without UI
Now that's borderline stupidity

kek

Why do whites make this face?

god i want her to kick me in the balls so bad

Thats because Linux is a tool, not a toy
Get away from it before you hurt yourself

Only wannabe hackers use Linux

How does one edit videos on a kernel

>gaming laptop

Just use ffmpeg.
It's better and more usable and heals your acne better than bloated UI editors.

that's how they cope for not being black

That looks why better than the kden/shotcut stuff, why isn't it shilled more? How's 4k support?

>Linux is a tool
kernel*

I installed Resolve on Fedora and it overwrote all of the system libs with the ones in the installer causing it to not boot

No video thumbnails?

Attached: 1560657441376.jpg (530x530, 56K)

ffmpeg is all you need.

It's not quite that bad, but it's a bit rough.
>davinci resolve (proprietary, focused really on color grading)
>lightworks (proprietary, didn't actually know this had a Linux version to be honest, so I can't say much)
>kdenlive (doesn't this shit crash a bunch?)
>shotcut (haven't actually used this on Linux, I think I remember it crashing a bit on Windows, it's pretty basic too)
>blender (lol)

despite all that, it seems the options for video editing on Linux are a bit better than your options for audio production or image editing

Linux is getting comparatively better every day.
It's not like linux is improving, but windows keep fucking itself over and over and over at a point linux will be better because it didn't fucked itself as hard.

Based

If you see whites making that face all the time then they are probably doing it in response to you being in front of their face.

> I can't use blender

I am white and have never seen a white person do this.
Stop being a smelly nigger and maybe people won't make faces at you.

After using resolve on a big project for a month, I can say that it's shit. The constant rendering just so I could go into after effects or blender was retarded. The UI is retarded. I'll stick with my premiere pro, thank you.

Not really. Avisynth and Vapoursynth are pretty great.

news.softpedia.com/news/Hollywood-Loves-Linux-45571.shtml

This, I use avisynth for cleaning up video footage

I think that’s what the girl in op’s pic was using when she made that face.

>Not having your AI powered Linux server edit videos for you
well there's your problem

shit forgot my video link to the thing

>kill yourself
>i just give you knowledge from my experience

looks like Bitwits wife

How do you edit videos on a kernel???

All Linux exclusive video editors are utter shit on Linux. They are unstable, feature-poor and can't even autosave.

However Blender works great and allows you to do much more than any conventional video editor.

>t.adobe shill

all the pros are moving to Resolve from your overpriced bloated garbage

>t.nigger

We get it, you're an addict.

>I start my greentext with a space character

>autosave
bloat

Linux removes those automatically

TempleOS is based in this regard. Everything is saved by just pressing esc and exiting the current view. To not save, press shift esc. I like that, but I'd made it autosave all the time, not only when pressing esc.

I wouldn't need autosave if the program didn't crash every 10min like kdenlive.

> I have never used email

>grampsmail

>kdenlive (doesn't this shit crash a bunch?)
Not anymore.

kek

This is garbage for adding captions/text.
can olive add captions to video? I use avidemux for cutting. I just need a caption maker.

There's no feature list?

Can everyone just shut the fuck up about videos and give sauce for OP's girl?

I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you’re referring to as Linux, is in fact, GNU/Linux, or as I’ve recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux. Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU system made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX.
Many computer users run a modified version of the GNU system every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of GNU which is widely used today is often called “Linux”, and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the GNU system, developed by the GNU Project. There really is a Linux, and these people are using it, but it is just a part of the system they use.
Linux is the kernel: the program in the system that allocates the machine’s resources to the other programs that you run. The kernel is an essential part of an operating system, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete operating system. Linux is normally used in combination with the GNU operating system: the whole system is basically GNU with Linux added, or GNU/Linux. All the so-called “Linux” distributions are really distributions of GNU/Linux.

If linux is a tool, why it cannot be used to do work?

as a professional user of davinci let me tell you, the linux version is not worth your time. On top of it being tempremental as hell to get working and prone to crashing, it straight up doesnt run on certain distros for mystery reasons. Combine that with the lackluster nvidia driver support and you can see where this is going.

Smoother and easier video editing on windows. Render time? Idk, never tested it

fuck I just installed davinci on fedora but I haven't rebooted, that shit's supposed to be installed on centos

clearly not much going on here

the creator of linux is a tool

He made git, which is notoriously space inefficient and hard to use.
BitKeeper should've won. McVoy should've changed to support contracts with an open source model early on, rather than proprietary software.

I like Blender but it's terrible as a video editor.
For starters the workflow is totally wrong: having to render out intermediate results because you can't chain effects together.
Playback is also agonizingly slow.

Listen to him.
Get a decent Winders machine, install Resolve or pay the Adobe tax, or pyrate.
Linux video editors are toddlers toys

Attached: 1517287494630.jpg (210x263, 37K)

>or pyrate
resolve's free unless you need the pro version. Also if you need the pro version you probably got two licenses for free with your blackmagic camera (im shilling the p4k here but its unrivaled)

Why do I see this qt on every other board?

this looked good and was easy/fast to use. but when i just tested it, rendered video was choppy. there were dropped/duplicated frames even source/destination fps were the same and on timeline everything looked good.

Blender.

The output render needs to be tuned. Don't fall for the bullshit where you make the render quality number HIGHER - needs to be LOWER
It's a great Premiere ripoff

>want to save project
>program freezes
>CPU spikes to 100%
>have to kill the process
It's not bad for an alpha version, but the warning after startup is justified.

You can use ffmpeg to edit videos in a command line you incel.

SAUCE MY PP HARD

for what? your gay youtube channel? surely anyone doing video production has a workstation with specialized software, and wouldn't try to run it on their web server or whatever... what's going on exactly? just get a mac if you are going to vlog lmao

But Windows spies on you

Use blender 2.8, you can do lots of cool shit in it...
