People need to wake up and refuse to work for these assholes employers should be thankful that people want to work for them instead of the other way around.
I have gotten much further in life by making my own demands from employers instead of begging for work like some corporate slave.
Remind them that you can work anywhere so if they are not willing to agree to your terms you will find someone that will.

The IT field is a meme I switched to the electrical field and make more money than I ever did in IT with zero experience.
People need to stop falling for the IT meme and putting up with this bullshit and just let the industry fall flat on its face when they run out of H1B tokens
