we should use temple os for servers since it has 0 known exploits and also has no network stack which makes it completely invulnerable to attack

This is GNU's fault

It is secure. It's just not very available. :^)

>ping of death
Is it 2000?

Isn't that Romeo DiMaggio?

It's Fagrito DiFaggio

It is secure tho

Dragonfly > Linux.

I prefer his alias "Romeo Fink"

Who's going to be sending malicious ICMP packets from inside my own LAN? If an attacker is already inside my network, I should be less concerned about a DDOS kernel panic attack and more worried about the foothold they have.

Any server exposed to the internet is going to have port forwarding / DNAT through a firewall, and the IPS / DDOS filters will detect this sort of shit.

Any Linux server directly exposed to the internet with no intermediary device deserves everything that happens to it.

Windows 10 doesn't have this problem. Apologize Jow Forums.

if your network edge doesn't filter this icmp shit i don't know what to tell you
meanwhile critical rdp vuln which affects nearly all windows versions is getting actively exploited worldwide

Jow Forumsay is full of kids who don't use computers for important or critical work. they don't care what shit tier loonix they use for shitposting and facebook.

>exposing your servers that can't handle a DDOS tier attack to the net
Asked for it.

windows doesn't have this problem

when you're at the point where bruce schneier uses windows 10, it's time to give up the fucking meme already

it has way more others

Linus is just the techtip. And I'll have you know, he's very secure about himself

linux is always ~20 years behind in virtually every regard

go to year

Gahnuu~~

Debian Linux #5
Windows 10 #6
But maybe it's because Debian Linux has more eyes on the source code than Windows 10?

>It was discovered that the ext4 filesystem implementation writes uninitialised data from kernel memory to new extent blocks.
Jesus Christ.

Linux kernel has more vulnerabilities than entire OS'

Again might be because of eyeballs on the code.

Put OpenBSD guys audit their code all the time.
OpenBSD devs: focus on quality code and security.
Linux devs: bloat, adding a lot of stuff as possible and don't care about mitigations.

Linux kernel has more eyes on it than all BSD flavors have users, tho.
I don't want to use an OS where I double the userbase by installing it.

>why yes, my windows 10 home edition:tm: is completely secure, how could you tell?
