I think a powerful enough magnet could fuck up the GPU, couldn't it?

Magnet no but you can snip the tip of the laptop charger and separate the + and - wires, then run them over any ports you see. Just don't short circuit them. Run them inside USB, HDMI, etc.

Do you know how GPUs work?
For one, you could Boot and Nuke the drive.(Strong magnet would work there for a more messy job) USB kill the ports. If you find a PSU that's too powerful but still fits the charging port you might be able to kill the Power Port
