Magnet no but you can snip the tip of the laptop charger and separate the + and - wires, then run them over any ports you see. Just don't short circuit them. Run them inside USB, HDMI, etc.

Do you know how GPUs work?
For one, you could Boot and Nuke the drive.(Strong magnet would work there for a more messy job) USB kill the ports. If you find a PSU that's too powerful but still fits the charging port you might be able to kill the Power Port

The os shouldn't be fucked from this.You may have to do this in reverse order to boot up again but I don't see it destroying the os.Maybe just mem locking it though so it just shows a black screen until you do this in reverse order again.

The usb and ethernet tricks are easy to identify if they're knowledgeable about computer power regulation
dripping sugar water on the motherboard is way less suspicious, but not so immediate
also most of these suggestions are about bricking the motherboard so any sensitive data will be retrievable
if you want to destroy a data drive do the same thing, but send the current directly into one of the drives headers
magnets are only good in theory these days, need an uncommonly powerful magnet to impact the platter
