for some retarded reason newegg has the 1xxx series more pricy than the current one
wtf

based and based pilled

AMDshills are literally seething

>going for the mid tier or lower tier options
fucking hate wageslaves

Because the 1xxx series is discontinued now I think

Do you have the graph with the 8700k at 5ghz?
Also what RAM is being used and at what specs?

go back you fucking shameless retard

stop acting like this is news. if you had been in the game for long enough you'd have already known this was the case

fake news is what it is

Avoid the questions more, AMDrone

what do you mean AMDrone? i'm being pro-intel

Imagine being a diseased intel nigger monkey shitter

threadlet cpu

>(You)
based

Too overpriced, I just got an i5 9400 since my motherboard can't OC anyways.

Get ryzen instead

BASED

It should be obvious that I don't plan to change motherboards, maybe in the future once this processor chipset becomes useless.

Right now I'm content, and no amount of niggerish behavior from console warring /v/edditors is going to make me. Create an entire new PC.

Besides, I don't have much money to spare, I take care of my crippled granny and only have a little spending money every month.

None of the current Ryzen CPU beats the 9400 in gaming unless expensive ram and cooling.

>paying $215 for a processor filled with speedholes.
no thanks.

Same guy, the 2700x does beat slightly, but really I'm happy with the 9400F, 6 cores seems to be the sweet spot for now, I doubt 8 cores will be mandatory for a while.

Cope harder, you got scammed

cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i5-9400-vs-AMD-Ryzen-5-2600X/m735306vs3956

yeah cause its shit with no HT even, thanks, incel for making intentionally gimped chips, its a bad buy right now when zen2 is in 2 weeks and will have much better 6/12 CPU for cheaper

Imagine how hard Ryzen 3600 is going to crush Intel mid range.

yeha 9600 is low tier now

HOLY FUCK
cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i5-9400-vs-AMD-Ryzen-5-3600/m735306vs4040

>the year is 2009-2016
> the unlocked i5 part is $200
> the unlockes i7 part is $300

Fuck intel for going away from this.

>15% ipc increase and frequency increase makes it waster than a 9400
no shit sherlock

here the 9600k costs exactly $300 and the i7 is $460
it's like intel doesn't want to sell any cpus

It's actually at same frequencies so the 3600 is not even at its full potential

>9600k costs exactly $300 and the i7 is $460
just buy it goy kek

>check local prices
>2600x goes for $161
>9600k goes for $222
If you're on a budget that's a lot of dosh, if not, why the fuck would you even consider 9600k at all? The current pricing makes no sense.

Intel single core preformance is still better than AMD by a fair amount.

9600k can hit 5ghz with a decent cooler and MB.

Obviously if you are doing encoding or rendering, the 2600/3600 makes more sense due to the extra threads

But gaming, and especially older games will benefit greatly from the Intel single core preformance.

If you think 6 threads are enough for decent gaymen you're delusional.

only nu-games support 6 threads

Lmao, then why does the 9700k, 9700k, and 9900k all get near identical FPS in tons of games?

SOME games use 8 threads or more, but most don't.

Further, the older games I mentioned will NEVER benefit from more threads. Not now, not in 5 years.

Pretending a 2600/3600 is better for gaming despite its lacking single core preformance, and lacking in latency preformance causing generally worse frametime compared to Intel systems.

Intel is simply better for gaming at the moment. If the price premium isn't worth it in your eyes, don't buy it. But you shouldn't be so fucking shilled that you pretend Intel NEVER makes sense in ANY situation.

>9700k, 9700k, and 9900k
9600k, 9700k, and 9900k

>9700k, 9700k, and 9900k
Well obviously they all have at least 8 threads :)

>single core preformance
>decent cooler and MB
>gaming
>especially older games

RETARD LOGIC
There are so many things wrong with what you just wrote ... I don't even ... I can't even

hell, not even nu-games after looking at this
youtube.com/watch?v=rRAd8Fl08aY

You're the one who is delusional

Very few games utilize 6 cores and it will stay that way until the new consoles become abundant

cringe. gaming is the only thing that would utilize that many cores unless you're a 'creator'

Hurr durrrrrr

Then explain retard.
Older games simply preform better with higher single core preformance, Intel has clearly higher single core preformance, ergo, older games run better in Intel.

Especially emulation

>not only is 9600k more expensive but you also need a cooler
Hmm, nice 100% CPU usage stutterfest
youtube.com/watch?v=hRIgnPWHgEY

>games use threads
What fantasy world do you live in?

Weve had consumer 8 thread CPUs since 2010 with the FX series.
It's 2019 and still 90% of games use between 1 and 6 threads, the other 10% use 8+, but scaling well last 8 threads is rare.

>but scaling well last 8 threads
Past 8 threads

sorry, i don't look at intel cpus that don't have a k after them

That's right, Intel is only good enough for older games. Ryzen on the other hand, is forward thinking and a better buy for playing recent and future games.

Lmao, whatever helps you feel better about being cucked by Lisa su.

12 threads?

Attached: SotTR_1080p.png (1328x1222, 50K)

>6 cores
literally destitute tier, at least you have smt right?

What do you need 8 threads for?

Attached: ACO_1080p.png (1328x1222, 50K)

Aren't 6 threads enough?

Attached: Division_1080p.png (1328x1222, 48K)

Comparing to a quad core without hyperthreading when we're discussing a 6 core CPU

Wew, that's a good argument you made

Obviously we need MOAR GIGAHERTZ

Attached: Hitman_1080p.png (1328x1222, 46K)

Or you know, 6 cores instead of 4

No one here is telling you to buy a quad core Intel in 2019 for gaming

The Indian working in the sweatshop couldn't understand what you were saying

How can you overclock your shit almost 1GHz higher and still fucking lose?

Because it has 2 less cores...

Jesus AMD shills aren't even trying

Compare the 9600k which at STOCK hits 4.3ghz on all 6 cores, and OCd can hit 5ghz+ on all cores.

Instead you're comparing a quad core from 2 generations ago because you know you'd lose otherwise

>7600k came out in 2017
>r5 1600 came out in 2017
Retard

You're proving his point.
4 threads vs 12 threads and the Intel is easily keeping up.
If you made a fair comparison with a high clocked Intel 6 core, it'd be a different winner on those graphs.

That's was never the argument, I'm not even sure why you'd think I'd be arguing that.

We live today, in 2019. Today in 2019, i'd buy a 9600k over a 2600x in an instant.

>9600k + cooler = $280
>2600x = $180
WOW AMD BTFO

>4 threads vs 12 threads and the Intel is easily keeping up.
Yeah, but not after security patches are installed.

It doesn't have hyper threading anyway, and all the other patches barely add up to 1-2% difference in gaming.
2600x needs a cooler too if you want it anywhere near 4ghz

>2600x needs a cooler too if you want it anywhere near 4ghz
Literally false.

whoaaaaaaaaaaa dudes

Attached: 2019-06-20_08-05-52_firefox.png (1191x125, 19K)

>0.03% market share versus cpu that's not even out yet
kek

Lmao, okay, i guess the literal dozens of reports online of people capping at 3.8-3.9Ghz with the stock cooler is false.

You can get close using the stock cooler, but anyone hitting 4ghz on stock cooler was generally reporting load temps above 85c.

>Intel is easily keeping up
Yeah just like bulldozer.

To be fair, the 9400 has been a real bitch to find as well, intel has almost no stock of low end 9th gen chips.

Intel shills don't care about CPU diseases as long as they get more housefires.

AMD shills don't care about actual performance as long as it SOUNDS bad for intel.

Add on the high speed ram kit you need for the ryzen

>burns your house down for 1 additional fps
we won intelbros

God Intel is such a retarded piece of shit of a company I'm glad they're dying.

Attached: 1560948956599.jpg (2220x1080, 508K)

Most people aren’t in an environment where the exploits would ever effect them, so the patches are pointless, even though they barely past performance outside specific instructions that again, the average person isn’t using.

Lmao, yea it's that 1fps that you have to keep lying about intel security taking MASSIVE performance from intel

It's hilarious you're THAT afraid of intel "winning"

Don't forget that the 9600k doesn't even come with a cooler

Whatever happened to AND making their version of IME open source like they promised?

Do you seriously think AMD isn’t just as pozzed as intel?

FX didn't have 8 true threads

You do realize that those exploits can be used through Javascript, right?

dont forget your 2600x doesn't come with B-die RAM.

If you count burning your house down as winning then that's cool.

Because 99% of people threw the stock cooler in the bin when they buy k series.

Yes it did.

It didn't have 8 true cores, but you're lying to yourself if you don't consider them threads.

You do realize that it would be nearly impossible to do any sort of effective attack with javascript AND it's never been shown to work in the wild anyway, you're just parroting what some tech blog said is POSSIBLE.

>reddit shill

>whatabout amd
Classic diseased retard rhetoric.

>talking about building a PC on a budget
>add $40 on an already more expensive CPU

disregard that I suck cocks, meant to type cores

>talking about building a PC on a budget
>add $150 on high speed ram
