I dont think they actually realized it, I think it naturally evolved in the areas they made grounds. by gaming, science, nerdy, etc, communities breaking so easily it makes those areas more alluring for more pushing.

i think about that a lot, it's honestly about time we had another real major war (that isn't a war against ideas in some third world shithole like vietnam or iraq) to reignite the world. I can’t speak for Texas.
In Colorado, guess which “other white people” started voting for the policies and politicians that made illegals essentially get a free ride in this state. This was a purple-to-red state in the early 2000s and for several decades prior. It is deep blue now.
Now, republicans are pretty useless on the whole and the 2-party system is gay, but it’s still not coincidental that this state started swinging far-left when coastals, chicagoans and Austinites began moving here en masse in the mid-2000s when Colorado was just starting to become “hot.”

I'm aware this is the narrative but the fact is that white people in Colorado voted Republican, and it was by a lot. If you only look at the white vote for 2008 and 2012 the same is true, Obama would have lost.
