I stopped watching tek syndicate before this drama. Just didn't trust Logan (and by extension the channel) after some statements he made at some point. Who knows what.
But Wendell is the component I felt I missed. I'm glad level1techs is what it is.

As someone on the outside I think it's important to note that Qain and Logan originally started out as business partners and not employee/boss.

Logan gained influence by handling finances and comedy while Qain handled the software/hardware.

Every time someone said he was doing too many advertisements.

There was a week full of advertisement videos without any other videos once.
Also his goals with the channel.
No one really enjoyed WASD (gaming portion with pistol) and the wanted more technical content.

He promised a Linux channel for like 4 years and kept combating the audience.
People got upset with his priorities with spending.
Unaccounted money that wasn't going towards filming equiptment which were the projected goals on patreon.
(He bought things with company money and allowed Pistol to get a furry costume for her streaming channel and this is very shady because she also lived with him rent free)

This was very stressful because he would constantly complain about filming equiptment quality for months and months worth of videos.

Despite making thousands of dollars on patreon.

We wanted a booking system to show company expenses and he kept giving excuses.
Plenty of times he would say we are wrong and he's the one who grew the channel so he knows.

He setup rules in the forums and discord (no swearing ect) but didn't obey them and allowed Pistol to also disobey teh rules and banned viewers when they did the same as they did.

Then when he was caught multiple times he shut down the forum for a week or more and never admitted wrong doing.
He claimed "I'm going steve jobs for now" and didn't say a word for a week.
Eventually he turned it back on but said that everyone needs to stop with drama and never apologized.
He also revoked a bunch of community mods because they were being neutral.

Wendel didn't want to but he got kind of roped into it.
He had his own tech support business.

It was actually even stressful for him at a lot of points because Logan was shoveling every task off to him. (he built the shop website, forums, local network, ect) but he wanted to help his friend.

Eventually he became more and more involved and Logan figured he'd just hire him anyways.
He started to coherse Wendel onto the Tek as content then despite Wendels then social awkwardness.

In the longer run I think it provided Wendel with a output for his thoughts and creativity which made him stick around.
It also helped him be more of a presenter and socially capable to convey his ideas to others.

Must have been kind of shitty to bail your friend out constantly till he convinces you to work for him taking up your only freetime away from your normal job for years and then you get fucked over down the road.

He could have quit both jobs and worked for someone like IBM full time and retired in his 50s.
