15%is tiny compared to the performance loss after patches.

Intel is afraid

They're slashing prices to match the performance loss.

It should be 40%+ after disabling hyperthreading.

This is good for consumers regardless of anything. It just shows you Intel were just milking the consumers and Ryzen is forcing them to be more competitive in pricing. So far they tried to avoid it by increasing core counts (remember, i7 CPUs were 4 core 8 thread from fucking Nehalem in '09 to Kaby Lake in 2017) but it's clear they can't do that because
1.It's not economical anymore without switching to a chiplet design because of low yields due to massive die sizes that'd be required
2. Moar coars on the 14nm+++++ process would create literal housefires

So you should be thankful to Ryzen for better prices even if you buy the 9900KYS. That being said, it's sad that the same is not happening for GPUs because the Radeon Technologies Group mostly gave up consumer GPUs and is focusing on semi custom stuff.

Reeks of desperation.

Still bigger margins than AMD.

This. Literally WHO cares whether whomstdve is """dominating""" when the end result of competition is better shit for lesser shekels. Fanboyism is fucking gay. Get a life faggots.

>already better price/performance than AMD
>cutting prices even further

Holy fuck. Based intel.
