Awgg can do all the things that piece of shit does, and it can do it on lin, win, and mac, and its written in pascal, and its fast, completely foss, and supports wget, aria, curl etc...

Xtreme Download Manager. free, open source, for all OSes, faster.

IDM is closed botnet made by jews

What is this garbage?

Still the best and just works.

All these copping faggots with their opensores software recommendations and not a single one of them is comparable to IDM for system integration and actual DL link capturing.

lmao you poor shitbeards

How autistic are you? A silly download manager isn't going to make a difference to anyone when they download everything at 50MBps+ down anyway. Step out of the 90s and into the present, you absolute plebeian.

As much as I like Jdownloader2 I still use IDM because all I gotta do to rip videos is click the download this video button that pops up anytime there is a video, unlike Jdownloader which often can't find the video.

It also has a shitty captcha. Mipony may be semi-adware but at least it has a proper solveable captcha without a fucking browser extension

What is Affinity photo?

IDM still is the best. Has better options and integration with the browser. That is why it still is alive to this date. It just works and the competition is behind.

it also has a way better UI

Mipony is a paid and ugly software.

IDM UI has gotten better. And you can also change it unlike FDM.

>IDM in 20 fucking 19
Yikes

I use uget but this piece of shit is not getting updates anymore

still works fine though

tfw wrote my own downloader

IDM just works

Perhaps it does. I used to use it. But I've been gradually phasing out all cracked paid software I was using before. I actually use none now and replaced most of it with open source or free programs.

Photoshop STILL doesn't enable correct gamma blending by default. Even if u enable "Blend color with 1.0 gamma", filters like blur still still use perceptual gamma instead of correct linear light gamma. This is one area where supposely shit free software like GIMP does better by default.

Fuck off yank.

I just looked at the calendar and I'm pretty sure it's been at least 10 full years since I've used a dedicated DL manager.

I have been doing the opposite. Phasing out free software and buying license for superior commercial alternatives when I see a discount.

I actually started buying some of the software I've been using since my childhood. I bought FlashFXP and mIRC. No regrets for mIRC but the FlashFXP guy was arrested and there's been no updates for more than a year. He had hidden cameras in his house for what a person who had info on the matter could pretty much only describe as "reasons" and one happened to pick up an underage girl masturbating. I really love FlashFXP's UI and I haven't found a replacement I like but the way that's going makes me feel confident I chose the right path. I replaced Winamp with QMMP. WinRAR with 7zip. I might take it even further soon and replace Windows with Linux.

Good luck downloading from erai-raws using that.

See

I see this shit installed everywhere in Indonesia.
what does make it special?

It's especially important if you're using shitty third world internet. I'm an American living in the Philippines and back when 3g was the only way I could get connected IDM was absolutely essential. Multithreaded downloading, pausing, resuming, browser integration... I got so much mileage out of it. When my shitty hacked connections would crap out my downloads could be picked up where I left them, most of the time at least... IDM did fuck me on a lot of occasions.

I recently moved here, and the Internet isn't that bad. I can download 30GB of vidya under 1-2 hour.
Maybe it used to be dial-up tier I guess like you said. Also people here really like to refresh desktop like some kind of ritual.

I know there are a lot of people using hacked mobile connections and shit there too though. One of the programs I used to get connected over the past few years was written by a guy there. It's an extremely popular thing for the urban poor. The main issue I run into here is getting sim cards blocked if I download too much data. I can reach up to like 3-5gb per day before that happens. In the old days I did this because I was a cheap ass but now I live in a rural area and LTE is the only option.

>Affinity photo
Good for 95% of PS users. But there are still a couple reasons for the remaining 5% to keep funneling money into Adobe’s coffers.

I still recommend free software to my friends if its capable to do what they ask. That said, if they don't mind paying I also tell them about commercial solutions that do not require subscriptions.

It's not even close. It's the only adblocker as far as I'm concerned.

Jd2 can automate the process of waiting few seconds before the free server allows you to download, and change to other download if you reached the free limit of the day.

So i scrape all the links in a pirate site and paste then in jd2. On the next morning i have dozens of files

But i would like jd2 to have a command line interface ... Or any cli alternative as good as jd2

IDM allows you to select a bunch of links from any shitty source out there and batch download them.

Jdownloader also allows it but it doesn't always work, especially on erai-raws.

ltrlly who?

at least its not adware like jdownloader. IDM still is the king of download managers.

im wearing a maid outfit right now

IDM is pretty convenient for downloading videos off of streaming websites like Youtube and porn sites. It also gets around some sites that limit your download speed per connection.

whats best rdp that can be used with chromebook?

Did the cuck dev still block "DRM sites" for downloading or are there ways around it now?

>*update comes and shits all over your browser's download programs forever*
>"thems the breaks, kid. lol," firefox dev.

you'd be surprised. I have friends who genuinely prefer winrar despite having worse UI, being slower, and bothering you to pay for it. I don't get it at all.

Attached: cowsay_screenshot.png (400x326, 17K)

Can someone elaborate the purpose and uses of such software?

I work a lot with computer generated CSVs and I actually prefer Libreoffice over this mf. Excel evaluates the cells automatically everytime I open a CSV to dates in certain cases and Libreoffice just threat them all as plain text unless you interact with them.

Attached: asdasd1.png (692x692, 32K)

Free Download Manager

Yep, same complain. In recent versions of MS Excel you have to open a blank spreadsheet, then import a CSV file through "Data" submenu to be able to choose how values from the file will be displayed on the spreadsheet (select/deselect separators etc)

Extremely fucking annoying to say the least.
