Taking a screen shot on a high DPI laptop

This is Jow Forums and the ability to take screenshots is essential. It is like the number one tool for any poster. Yet it is a pain in the ass if you have a high DPI screen such 1920x1080 with 125% scaling which is typical for 15" laptops. So your snapshots will end up 20% larger and will look blurry. What do? Attaching the proof.

Looks fine to me

same, op loves dick

op might be tranny

N-no, what made you think that?
And no, it is not fine. The size is 762x600 which is much larger that the real size of the area that I snapped. Here, I scaled it back down. Thats the correct size but it is blurry af. This sucks.

op confirmed homo

you missed the point. it looks larger after taking a screenshot on the same screen. the screen is scaled but the image, say, 400x400 downloaded from the internets will look 400x400 just like on a non scaled screen. But when I take a screenshot of it and select a 400x400 area and save it, it will become 480x480 and will look blurry.

what about it? what's the point of your post??

holy shit you're such a whiny faggot

Anyway if you're at 125% UI scaling and you want a clean screenshot, zoom the webpage to 80% to balance it out and get back to one pixel per pixel. Also, for the very highest quality, turn off subpixel antialiasing. Most screenshots will be viewed either scaled or on a display with different subpixel layout. Greyscale antialiasing will look best.

you don't need any scaling with this resoultion and screen size, eyelet.

stop being buttblasted about meaningless shit

this looks like ass

the only scaling that works on windows 10 is 100/200/300% anything other and you're a total blind retard who can't tell their monitor is blurry

Am I doing this right?

This must be true for all operating systems. The images ain't going to scale well at 150%. Plus on Mac OS it is dog slow without factor of 2 scaling

imagine using such an operating system

nice post sensei

May as well drop the vague terms. We know you're using a retina macbook.

It looks fine on my actual high dpi screen

you look like an ass

how autistic does one have to be to mine for such a trip

looks fine on my machine

i think i am either a total idiot or i am missing something or both. i just noticed that the windows image viewer app has a 'view actual size' option which shrinks it by 20% and all of a sudden my OP pic looks normal on my screen. And it looks fine in Paint, too. But if I open it in a browser at 100% zoom, it still looks 20% larger and blurry. There is definitely something going with that scaling shit but I can't figure out what.

For all of you phone posting autists, by high DPI I mean it is higher that older 15" laptops which were 1280 x 800 and didn't require any scaling as this scaling bullshit drives me nuts.
