Why the fuck would you need to play games anywhere but at home?
If you want portability, buy a cheaper laptop then build a PC so then you don't have to carry a $1000, 1 hour-of-battery life volcano

Whats the best gaming laptop? A portable laptop and desktop built to what you want. More bang for your buck for the same price. If you absolutely must have portability, make the motherboard an ITX, and get one of those cases you could carry with one hand.

Whatever you do, dont try to be Frankenstein and mash together two of your completely separate designs, you'll create a monster that will weigh a fuckton, and shit out on you 2 years from now while giving you a mediocre experience for how much you paid. Speaking from experience here.

Any laptop with thunderbolt 3 + eGPU is better than a gaming laptop.
Also, go kill youself you dumb fucking Zoomer.

gaming laptops are fucking terrible

But what about games that are CPU-bound? Why not just build a desktop and get a laptop for the same price?

>What's the best gaming laptop?
Define best.

Gaming desktop, cheapo laptop, Nvidia Gamestream or Steam Streaming.

just look at MSI and ASUS laptops and buy the best thing you can afford.

Building a workstation that can game.

The one with the shiniest RGB lights.

Ideal gaming PC:
>big screen
>mechanical keyboard
>gaming mouse
>powerful
Ideal laptop:
>lightweight, easy on your back
>long battery life
>don't attract too much attention
...
Gaming laptop:
>tiny shit screen
>Shit keyboard and shit mouse
>not as powerful as a desktop half it's price
>heavy
>shit battery life
>gay lights gets everyone's attention and everyone laughs at you

Don't buy a gaming laptop. I made that mistake long ago. I'm much happier with my $120 T420

The ROG Gu501G I bought recently has a full Nvidia 1060 with Thunderbolt 3 port as well

Razer Blade 15, Blanco edition.

unironically, this.

That actually looks good, but how's the battery life? Will it survive a drop or a coffee spill? Can I switch out the keyboard if it gets damaged?

Bad
lol, no
nope, lol

>Will it survive a drop or a coffee spill? Can I switch out the keyboard if it gets damaged?

It's called 'properly maintaining your personal property'

Hm, guess I'll stick to my thinkpad then.

Get a desktop if you really want gaming, it will be way better to you 5 years from now.

nvidia gamestream is a thing now? I only know of steam

Nvidia Gamestream is better. The server end of it is in GeForce Experience. The client end can be stuff like an Nvidia Shield, or the open source Moonlight client.
