Water Filters are technology. What are some of the best water filters one can buy? Should I go for a pitcher water filter or one you attach to a sink faucet?

>Removes all minerals from water

Drink your tap water and drink real mineral water. Your hydrate 100 times better and need less water. You drink that filtered shit and you flush out all the nutrients you need.

yes i need flourine and chlorine and all the lead from the city water pipes.

>Drink your tap water
don't do that unless you have a personal well
and even then, use an iron filter

also store bought mineral water is nothing compared to the thicc shit you get an an artesian well
may as well go full hog if you're going to try to be a water hipster

You realize people been drinking tap for thousands of years right? Like the filter is a recent craze to get you to spend more.

Unless you live in Flint or another 3rd world place

Do not buy a faucet one... they stay moist inside and are havens for bacterial growth.

Under-sick reverse osmosis is the best

NSF42 filters are trash... NSF53 is slightly better. See if AmazonBasics makes filters for your parents' fridge.

get a full stainless steel berkey, problem solved.

>people have been drinking tap water for thousands of years

Kettles. You boil the water, it kills all (99.99%) bacteria and shit.
Minerals are safe.

I'd say faucet >>> pitcher. As much filtered water as you want, when you want. And you don't waste electricity using refrigerated water in your coffee maker. The filters don't last anywhere near as long, either.

*the filters in pitchers don't last anywhere near as long

get big blue from pentek

under sink is best

giant berkey filters are good if you don't want to install anything

Boiled water is for newfags.
Old school is fermented.

>Old school is fermented.
Newfag. Distilled (fermented water) is choice of old school fags.

wells can be horrible
I'm lucky to have a well with pH 5.7 and 36 PPM but I'm a real outlier as I've seen most measurements range from 250-600 PPM

I use zero water because I moved into an apartment and got tired of hauling 5 packs of water up 3 flights of stairs a month.

Shit goes bad in a month and each filter cost $10.

It's okay.

>Be American
>Talk water is poisonous
>Still pay assloads of tax for water
>Get nothing in return

It's not even really an american thing
It's just shitty municipalities as each city handles water differently

this is the best

Reverse osmosis with remineralization

Katadyn Combi is pretty good. I use it for camping but it has a sink adapter

I use the pur one that screws on the tap. Fuck filling up a brita

>be 90% black city
>vote abolute fucktards into local government
>basic utilities stop functioning
>no tax money to fix anything because the entire city is living on ebt
You just move away

Brita filters are a scam; they don't filter out any of the chlorine but instead just change the flavor so it tastes less like chlorine

Get an ultrafiltration membrane mang, install at your house water source and all your water will be clean. Then get an activated carbon undersink filter for drinking water, you'll have the cleanest water you'll have in your life.

See: North and East St. Louis

The actual water-filter end game is to buy water in non-bpa jugs (it should have a 2 on the bottom) or to use the water filter machines since they're expensive shit. You don't have to buy a $500 water filter.

I spend $6 a week on 6 gallons of water in jugs but if I bought glass bottles to fill up it'd be 25 cents a gallon.

Go to a normal country where water is pre-filtered.

Here we flush the toilet with perfect drinking water... yes its insane.

>Here we flush the toilet with perfect drinking water... yes its insane.

Every country does that you moron because it's far cheaper to just waist potable water than it is installing an entire separate set of pipes just for the toilet.

all these fags here are wrong, get a water distiller, best for getting everything out of your water.

American education everyone.

Do Americans actually drink from the fucking tap? Use a goddamn water filter Jesus

I just cant handle thinking about buying something like this or those "soft water filters" without feeling like a total sucker

You really trust unfiltered tap water? lol

I have water from my own water source well.
Installation is made with copper piping to kill of bacteria.
Before drinking I'm adding citric acid to chelate heavy metals.

try this

Water filters are only necessary in countries that don't use the metric system. The rest of the first world can drink tap water safely.

This is now a /diy/ thread.

Honestly i moved to a new city (the 3rd world) and the tap water tastes do bad and buying bottled water is more of a chore. Filters are more convenient and cheaper too
In my previous city the tap water was just fine so i never had that problem

Have you even watched the video though, because it just work©

>You realize people been drinking tap for thousands of years right
with it's microplastic, the pill hormones, flouride, lead and all kind of other shit that got dumped into in the last 100 years.

okay

Most bottled water is tap water fyi.
