OP, this is a good question. It likely is possible but MS likely won't be able to help you. I wonder if law enforcement has this kind of capability. There are lots of burned-in identifiers such as the PK that go up to the botnet so I don't see why it isn't possible at least in theory.

With that, it's a simple trace to the originating IP.
If you used a Microsoft account, finding it should be easy. Also, you did at least enable bitlocker, right?
