you aren't supposed to use it for everyday use you zoomer, you're supposed to use it when buying drugs and/or hacking the fbi

tor is for hidden services not exits

What website? Also try using a bridged Tor connection.

Tor is only for child porn browsing, what the hell are you doing

Use something like whonix and open a vpn inside so you get the best of both worlds. VPN will only have a t0r exit IP for logs too

DON'T USE TOR IT WILL DOWNLOAD CHILD PORN ON YOUR COMPUTER

>t0r
Are you seriously afraid of saying Tor? What happened to this board?

If someone knows a little more about how Tor works can answer: is the slowness something that can be improved as networking infastructure and technology (generally) improves? I have a likely very incorrect understanding that Tor works similarly to torrents in the sense that people contribute their upload so that the end user can get what they want faster. I think there are a lot of people who would prefer Tor if it weren't so slow. Is there any way I can help make things easier for people who want to use it as a private browsing solution?

run a dynamic proxychain through the tor port. you won’t be able to post on Jow Forums, but that’s probably a plus for you

Mozilla has recently started a research grant for ways to improve the scalability of the Tor network because they want to implement Tor in their browser, so yeah, there are some possibilities apparently, other than that, more relay nodes run by volunteers will definitely improve the network's speed.

latency will always be shit.
throughput can be improved by simply running more relays and exits.

running relays or exits would improve, as well as donating to foundations who do it.

It's not designed to be slow but at the same time the way it functions leads to it being slow. If more people ran tor relay/exit nodes, and more people used it in general, it'd be faster and more secure. But it'll never match regular internet speeds because of how it works.

>use government funded program
>be surprised when based and redpilled sites btfo government botnet

Go ahead and tell us which sites those are, son.

can i work for the nsa?

Come back after your 13th birthday

>uses tor for anything other than buying drugs and downloading cp
>wonders why it doesn't work
Are you clinically retarded?

>writing in cursive while pretending to be a CIA Nigger

itt: people are butthurt that Tor's actually compromised thanks to PRISM, so they try to help user by telling him "don't use it you'll get v& for kiddie pr0n"

Literally you should use it for everything even if the NSA can see what you’re doing because it protects against Google spying.

>Tor's actually compromised thanks to PRISM
Do you even know what you are talking about?

No, he's an idiot like how 99% of people in this board are.

Brave browser makes it easy as it allows for using like 'open new tab in incognito'. No regrets when you use it for a very specific activity, such as fapping.

Using Brave's Tor feature is a bad idea because it'll make you fingerprintable as hell, just use the Tor Browser.

substantiate your claim dickless nigger

I know - the question was rhetorical

4channel.org
But those pedos over at 4ch*n can probably use tor

>all of those claims and no evidence of government compromise on tor

Why the fuck are you using Tor for surface web shit?

this

Change the user agent to some random mozilla string

Okay

use i2p
use freenet
there's more to it than just the useragent
that's what it was designed for, tor's hidden services are literally worse than i2p's in almost every way, they were implemented in 2004 despite tor releasing in 2002 and being researched and developed for several years beforehand
