The first guy that ever invited me to a tracker was a good friend of mine to OiNK. After that randoms were just offering invites to what and waffles on IRC in some of the channels I hung out in. I got in those without knowing anybody. I actually invited my friend that invited me to OiNK too. I actually thought back then general trackers like TL are harder to get into. I got an invite there from someone I knew from a Jow Forums related IRC and I cheated my ratio 20gb at a time. Lots of shit happened between then and now but my current path to most of my cabal trackers was someone I knew from TL IRC inviting me to one. My current TL account originates from an invite from my uncle's account that he bought from an invite seller.

People here shit on RED so much but god forbid if it ever goes down, I don't think it will ever be possible to make a competent alternative again. Yeah there are bandcamp releases but there are also things getting uploaded that you won't find anywhere else. People mere keep recommending Rutracker, Soulseek, and SMLoadr but we all know that we only use them because of the ratio restrictions on RED otherwise they aren't half good as RED. Yeah they have some content not found on RED but they aren't worth the hassle when you can find so much more on RED.
