why don't you have a surface book 2?

Don't need it.

>can't be repaired
>can't be upgraded
>touch screen cracks easily
>keyboard is shit
>has pajeetOS installed by default
Do not want.

>no reparability
>no trackpoint
unusable shit
fuck off i'm not going to carry a mouse everywhere

> the gap
wtf were they thinking?

>muh trackpoint
why are thinklets so insufferable?

it makes a laptop without a mouse usable

Because dGPUs in portable devices and tablet convertibles are both retarded

So does a touchscreen and good trackpad, which a poor thinklet obviously can't know

Agreed. Love my Surface Book 2

>So does a touchscreen and good trackpad

>keeps posting the surface book 1 scratching surfaces
desperate, intentionally misleading retard

>So does a touchscreen and good trackpad
the sad part is that zoomer söybois unironically believe this

>>thus, the GPU and CPU are seperate, both never have to throttle despite its thinness
Ahahahahahaha.

>my knob can totally replace a mouse better than a trackpad
lmao poorfags

Thinkpads are more expensive than the Surface line, retard.

I've never understood how you guys use those things, to me it's like trying to use a PC with a console controller, only worse because the range of motion is even smaller.

>goes to apple thread and posts old, debunked, misguided notions

18+ board, gamer faggot.

Isn't a trackpoint basically like a fucking thumbstick? How is this supposed to be better than a trackpad?

Attached: 220px-Trackpoint.jpg (220x219, 15K)

Thinktards are just childish gamers in denial.
It's really pathetic that they base their entire identity on a shitty pc brand.

Thinkpads are no longer about saving money, no longer about having a better computer, it's about fitting in for these 15-17 year old losers.

>Thinkpads are no longer about saving money
They never were.

you can move the mouse pointer without removing your fingers from the home-row keys. It's quite convenient.

>valid point
>u-underage !
based retard

thinkpads are for weebs

Because I have an XPS 15 and an Intuos Pro.

Why do you think your tangent about gay little video game toys is valid?

>I've never understood how you guys use those things
index on nub, thumb on right/middle/left button
no need to bring down your hand to the touchpad repeatedly like a retard, your hands never leave the keyboard
>only worse because the range of motion is even smaller
just adjust the sensitivity

I'm old enough to remember trackballs that clipped onto the side of your two inch thick laptop. I guess trackpoint was decent in the days when your only options were that or a fucking garbage trackpad the size of a 35mm film frame but nowadays everything that isn't a $129 chinkshit netbook comes with a usable trackpad.

Not him, but the trackpoint is literally a thumbstick with smaller range of motion and thus less accuracy, how is that not valid?

Evidence?

As an owner of a surfacebook 2 I gotta say that they biggest thing holding it back would be the pen technology. if apple can figure this shit out then why in the fuck can't Microsoft.

How do you need evidence? Just compare their functionality lmao

>just adjust the sensitivity
How's that supposed to help? Set it high and the pointer jumps all over the screen like a squirrel on meth, set it low and it's so slow that it makes you want to punch a hole in your computer. If you've got the fine motor skills to use that shit at high sensitivity you've probably fucked up because you should've become a brain surgeon.

Well, looks like your claim is not valid.

>if apple can figure this shit out then why in the fuck can't Microsoft.
When has India ever achieved anything of note? Don't expect them to start now.

Trackpoints only work well with their 1366x768 TN screens.
Any higher resolution and it becomes a pile of shit.

Thinkdrones are literally no different from a shit slurping mactard.

>A pointing stick (or nipple mouse, or jokingly called a "Nub," or "Titmouse") is a small joystick used as a pointing device typically mounted centrally in a computer keyboard.

wow thanks wikipedia
Do thinklets actually believe that red little knob is somehow special technology? Lmao

Attached: 1536995078136.gif (377x372, 3.46M)

>Thinkdrones are literally no different from a shit slurping mactard.
So now you're just spouting shit like the retard you are. Funny because Surface shit is literally less repairable and throttles more than Macs.
>wikipedia
Nice try, pajeet.

>everyone responding to you is the same person
Way to out yourself as a redditard. How fitting for a thinkdrone.

adjust the sensitivity + dexterity after getting used to it
i can drag stuff comfortably across a 1080p screen fine and since it uses mouse acceleration short distances aren't a problem either

When did I claim that?

Nothing in his post suggests that is the case. Are all Microjeets this dumb?

Do you need a fucking scientific thesis on how trackpoints are literally little fucking thumbsticks/joysticks with little to no range of movement?
Are you fucking stupid?

Attached: tp.jpg (677x454, 43K)

Or you could just use a good trackpad immediately.
Enjoy your crooked index finger by the age of 30, thinkcuck.

Nothing in my post said anything about a Surface either.

>Do you need a fucking scientific thesis on how trackpoints are literally little fucking thumbsticks/joysticks with little to no range of movement?
Any evidence would suffice.

Trackpoint is a relative input device, unlike a modern trackpad, which is an absolute device with 1:1 mapping to the screen. In other words, with a trackpoint you input direction and speed, with a trackpad you input a position directly, as you do with a mouse. This means that, with a trackpad or mouse, you can move the pointer to a position on the screen through sheer muscle memory, while with a trackpoint you have to watch the pointer, wait for it to get to the target, and then stop. That makes trackpoint slower and less intuitive to use than other input systems.

If you want evidence of the difference between absolute and relative control, go compare footage of professional console FPS tournaments to pretty much any decent PC FPS player and the difference is glaring.

>Nothing in my post said anything about a Surface either.
We all know who you are.

Attached: pajeetmicrosoft.png (1904x1104, 1.07M)

1. No actual evidence presented.
2. Stop talking about your gay little video toys, zoomer.

Honestly as the other thinkcuck hater, the only thing Trackpoints are good at are First person gaming. For productivity, a Precision trackpad absolutely destroys the shit out of a trackpoint.

>1. No actual evidence presented.
thanks for confirming that thinklets actually are braindead

>Or you could just move your hand down every two seconds like an imbecile
No thanks, I'd rather keep my hands on a steady, sane and comfortable position.

I'm actually a Dell/Acer user thank you very much.

But keep comparing your Thinkpad with the worst piece of shit companies like Surface and Apple, because that's all you got.

>thanks for confirming that thinklets actually are braindead
You can claim things as much as you like, kid, but without actual, tangible evidence your empirical claims do not stand up.

Trackpoints are strain gauges with no movement. They measure the force applied, so they don't need a range of motion to be accurate

>I'm actually a Dell/Acer user thank you very much.
>Acer
lmao

I don't even mind Thinkpads, they're solid laptops and I have a Lenovo (which I'm sure I'm about to get told isn't a real Thinkpad) myself. I just think Trackpoint sucks compared to pretty much every other input device you'll find on any laptop from the last decade.

>empirical
Do you even know what that word means thinklet? Jesus christ get an education

Hey, can't beat that value t bh. The brand that stopped me from buying Used thinkpads.

Yes, and I used it correctly. But you know that, you're just dodging again. What a joke.
>value
No such thing for consumer laptops.

>value
>garbage consumer-tier chinkshit

compelling arguments

>muh business vs consumer
That shit hasn't been valid since 2014, business quality has gone way down while consumer has gone up, almost at a point of convergence.

I'm not buying another X230 that has 1/2 the performance of a bottom of the barrel Celeron, shittier screen, and 1/5 the battery life.

>That shit hasn't been valid since 2014, business quality has gone way down while consumer has gone up, almost at a point of convergence.
Any evidence to back this up?

Your own thinktard threads consistently bitching about newer thinkpads being worse.

How is that evidence?

>consumer quality has gone up
wtf i love cheap plastic and 1366x768 screens now!

>wtf i love cumstained keyboards and 1366x768 screens now!
I can play that game too thinkcuck.
Also the cheapest piece of shit Acer has a 1080p panel, meanwhile the latest $1200 T490 comes with a 1366x768 TN screen standard.

>not a desktop
just no.

>cumstained keyboards
Nice projection, you freakazoid.

Hello mommy's basement neckbeard

>thinkcuck has the nerve to call anyone else a freakazoid
Oh the irony!
Also I love how you ignored all the spec comparisons.

>meanwhile the latest $1200 T490 comes with a 1366x768 TN screen standard
Wait, why the fuck would they even do that? My shitty 12" Yoga travel laptop that was like $700 like 4 years ago has a 1080p screen. Seems like it'd be way more cost-effective just to use standard 1080 panels across the lineup given the volume in which they're churning those shits out these days.

projecting much?

>the cheapest piece of shit Acer has a 1080p panel
Nice try, Acer shill

Oh, the chronic masturbator thinks he had a "gotcha" with screen resolution? HAHAHA

It's "business" grade, you wouldn't understand.

Look at all these chinkshit laptops with 1366x768 screens, really makes me think

>thinklets actually believe 1080p screens are rare in consumer products

Attached: 2535463.jpg (600x536, 81K)

>consumer rubes actually believe their f**ebook/pinterest/youtube toys are as good as more expensive laptops

Literally no one mentioned Apple but you. How much do you get paid an hour?

>paying 5x the amount of money for similar specs
>calls others rubes
It's ok to admit you're retarded.
Your butterfingers gonna break 5 laptops in 10 years?

>he thinks people buy business laptops with their own money
What a dumb kid.

It's more like almost twice the price for similar specs. But when you use your laptop for serious business (not pornhub or anime), you don't want any downtime from it breaking

>So does a good trackpad
Only macbooks after 2015 have those.

You know they are pressure sensitive, the harder you push the faster it goes and pushing it lightly makes it crawl across the screen. I can use a track point almost as accurately as a mouse. I despise trackpads so much, finger feels like I've been rubbing sandpaper after using for extended periods

>Or you could just use a good trackpad immediately
>good trackpad
Nice oxymoron, retard

Precision trackpads are especially godawful. The only thing they absolutely destroy the shit out of is your fingers, cuck.

I mean, if you actually have a disability I can see why shifting a trackpoint left and right might seem easier, but for the normal population a trackpad is faster and more accurate

Attached: 7fa7f79024eecbd8.jpg (1263x1920, 443K)

I mean, nice projection, dunce.

Attached: 1540876613781.png (915x633, 799K)

Normal population despises trackpads not made by Apple though.

>for a normal person familiar with trackpads the unfamiliar pointing device is worse
whodathunkit

It still requires a hell of a lot more fine control than a mouse or trackpad does, though, and you've still got the issue that it's a more convoluted way of doing things since it's directional.

You simply have to adjust to it; just like you did with trackpads and mice.

>why don't you have a surface book 2?
>costs more than $400
that's why
