I have two offices which house most of my gear...I do little but watch movies/streams and browse at home so this is all I need...

maybe if I'm around for any of the games I care about when they're live. I don't think I'd play more than 1 or 2 vods at once otherwise.

HI everyone, I currently have a IKEA linnmon desk and a laptop I use on top of it, and I'm thinking about buying peripherals, so things like a lamp and maybe a keyboard and mouse. It's my only desk, and I use it for homework (physical paper) sometimes, but mostly just programming.

For my case, would wireless be worth it? I have a K120 lying around that I can use, and a monitor that is in my garage.

Is a laptop dock worth the $40? I use a dell latitude E5420, and it's served me thus far Any lamp recommendations? What other essentials would I need? Are full length mousepads worth it?

Yeah, and this one's a bit cooler because it's actually an aviation chart and one that I got as a kid when I took my first flying lessons, I found it in my parents' garage the other day and immediately thought it'd be cool to frame and hang up. It doesn't quite fit the frame and it's pretty beat up and wrinkled but I actually like the effect, it makes it more obvious that it's a real old map and not just some generic print made to be hung on a wall.

My guy, If you have a miter box or miter saw, you can make frames with 1/2"x2" wood and quarter round trim. Homedepot or lowes can cut glass for you too.

Yeah I know, I've got a mat cutter too so I can even do those myself. I could also get those pre-cut aluminum side pieces that you bolt together I wanted as well. I didn't feel like it was worth the trouble for a beat up old map that I really just put up to fill empty space on the wall though, I'm gonna have company arriving in a few days from out of the country and staying with me for a couple of weeks so I'm in a huge scramble to unfuck my place and dealing with custom framing was one step too far.

What's a good chair that looks cool and is comfortable?

Lose it with small meals.
Try laying down, helps posture. Like 0 gravity makes you taller because no compression. Laying down decreases weight on your pelvis, spine, neck, ribcage. Made a huge difference for me. Im not obese so I cant talk for them.

The panoramic photo makes my desk looked warped but rest assured its straight.
I think a rgb lamp and some rgb ambience behind the monitors will looks nice

I do, but I don’t have a way of hooking things up to them without turning things into a rat’s nest yet, so I’ve been leaving them off in desk shots until my gear comes in.

It was for a while, and still kind of is for some VR stuff, but with the most minimal of cable management I've gotten more or less used to it. The only wired peripherals I use regularly are my vive, spacenavigator and my G700, but they're either on the desk or on my head.

imagine you go to a restaurant, they cook a mean burger, but the place is fucking crumbling
you walk in, and the only other person besides you is a junkie, who stabs you in the leg with a used needle before running out the door, cockroaches are skittering on the dirty floor, the walls are covered in nicotine stains, something smells rotten, but you can't tell what it is, you go and sit down, and the chair is so rotten and worn down it simply gives out under the weight of a human being sitting on it, after you get back up and sit down on another chair, you go and read the menu, it looks like it was scribbled by a toddler in marker, you can't read most of the menu items, so you decide you're gonna get the "BORGOR" and some "WAWTA", after 45 minutes, the waiter finally walks up to you to take your order, he is very mean and crass, and insults you for not being able to read the disheveled scribbles on the menu, you ask for your food, he angrily scribbles it down, and then he spits on the floor and leaves, after waiting for another 3 hours, the waiter comes back with your burger and a glass of water, the burger looks delicious, but the water is visibly murky and brown, you sit the water aside and eat your burger, it was a damn good burger, after you eat your burger, the waiter comes back and charges you 150 dollars for this whole ordeal, you hesitantly dig a benjamin and a grant from your wallet and sit it on the table, as you walk out of the restaurant, the same junkie from before clobbers your head with a brick and steals your wallet and shoes, as you lay on the sidewalk with a severe brain hemorrhage, you realized that you should have went to the restaurant 2 blocks away that, while they don't cook as mean of a burger, at least it would have been a far more decent experience than this.

Mine was a mistake. Got it to play with IRL friends who didn't have gaming PCs and barely ended up using it, the few friends I actually cared about gaming with have moved to PC as well and 90% of the games I care about are PC-exclusive anyway.
