What’s your IEM of choice right now user?
>iem normalfag with ironic weeb shit accessories
La killa yourself
>implying the ch9t is a normalfag tier iem
oh and
>anime website
What custom IEM should I get? I was thinking something in the sub $500 range
Right now I'm using the Campfire Audio Comets and they're pretty decent, but I think they're a bit bright for me. High pitched stuff on them borderline hurts. I use DT1990s at my desktop and they're pretty much perfect to my ears, no complaints.
I know it's anime a website, the point is there two kinds of weebs, ironic weebs and just weebs. Ironic weebs are more prevalent and obnoxious lil shits that watch anime for the ironic reason. Weebs are just weebs, outcasts, weird, love nihon, cute.
>comets with rolled off highs too bright
>treble cannon beyers just right
wtf
tfw you remember there was a special nanatsu no taizai sony walkman
the manga ended up being wasted potential but I'd rock this on the bus to and from work
what's the DAP?
Just found that pic on my audio group, but it should be a sony nw-a45 or nw-a55.
Sony ZX300
Serious question:
What the fuck is up with high end DAPs? If the main purpose of a DAC and AMP is to provide the most transparent sound possible to your headphones/iems then why do people insist high end DAPs """sound""" better than others? How come reviewers even say that DAPs has their own soundsignature (some daps are brighter than others, etc), isnt that just some pre-applied EQs?
Are they just bullshitting with placebo or is it just DAPs are inherently shit that only the high end ones provide transparency that a $200 standalone desktop DAC + AMP combo can easily do?
Please redpill me on this one.
you’re not gonna make it kid
also, still rocking the kanas pros with hiby r3
different DACs, different output voltages, etc all affect the sound signature is my understanding
for instance the hiby is considered "neutral/warmish" with the kanas being harman/neutralish, and combined they give a nice balance with good sub bass without getting into niggabass territory
the kanas pros + my previous sansa clip zip or the benji t6 sounded a bit anemic in comparison
>thread already ded
animu was a mistake
It's impressive what people can be tricked into hearing because they were primed to. Most of those particular acoustic differences ascribed don't exist, and audiophiles tend to be a superstitious and incompetent lot. Expectation bias is not to be taken lightly, and listening is integrated into the rest of the human senses and filtering. There are other factors, such as failure to level match and such. I would prefer referring to the physical rather than the psychoacoustic, so–
Some devices have interaction with the load impedance. Some filter out the bottom end, and more rarely the top. There are other factors such as clipping points, current limiting, background noise level, but these don't quite line up to the weird descriptions.
There are other audiophile esoterica that often behave worse by any typical engineering definition with issues far stranger. But we will not need to go into that.
Still rocking my Balanced QT2 ... love them to death.. along side the convenience of my BT T2 i could not ask for more.
ran a cute
Different DACs sound different
Different output circuit designs sound different
Different OPAMPs sound different
Different Discrete electrical components sound different
Different impedance matching between the DAP and IEMs sound different
is the Walnut V2s a proper entry-level DAP?
or should i just stick to my phone and Neutron for listening music?
post more sunglasses
No the Wallnut V2 only does 16bit .. i own the Zishan Z2 and its the same form factor but does 24bit/192khz and real DSD 128. The wallnut and z2 are a few years old now ...
Get the Zishan Z3 its new and has a oled screen that makes navigating the mSD much easier. Its like only 10 dollars more. As far as audio quality / Bang for Buck goes nothing even comes close ... next step up is Shanling M0 but thats 3x the price !
i'll consider it. thanks user.
one more thing, DT6, QT5 or any other sub-$30 pair?
I can't believe someone else other than me owns that fucking keyboard, I know I'm gonna get roasted for this, but are there any bluetooth iem worth the time? I have to listen to music to be able to sleep(tinnitus) and I always end up tangled with the cables and I've fucked up too many iems this way, budget
100% go the Senfer DT6 i considered buying a set when i thought i lost my BT T2 the other week.
i have many sunglasses but no this is not /fa/ and no you wont accidently get me in the reflection ;)n
Dude almost all chi-fi has a detachable cable and you can just buy a BT Adapter and roll your own.. this generic MMCX BT cable is $6 !!! i have 3 of them ... i get about 4 hours out of them at max volume and then swap over / charge .... or use my DAP... pictured is my "beater" BT + Tin Audio T2 and BT BGVP.. i use them in bed with my macbook air and often fall asleep them (not on purpose) and they can take the snooooz

Whats the best iems to listen to idoltrash and anime op/ed to?
Im thinking Andromeda for anime endgame.
Anyone has tips to clean iem nozzles from earwax?
>nozzles
you mean grills ? you can just remove them with a toothpick ...
He asked how to clean them not how to rip them out.
Hydrogen peroxide to dissolve the wax the brush it off with a toothbrush.
>There's two kind of weebs
>Weebs are just weebs, outcasts, weird, love nihon, cute.
No, you're just autistic and weird. Probably use Jow Forums.
There's normal people who watch anime, and then there's weird autists like you.
This is coming from someone who indulges in the full-depth of Japanese Twitter & pixiv.
Is that sony player any good?
what
no they are massively overpriced and they dont play music very loud because lawsuits and Japanese bureaucracy
Would also like to know please.
Yes it is. Just received mine. It's a good little dap. Not worth the full price tag imo. But you can get it on joybuy for 350 usd.
Hyla ce-5. Were made exactly for that purpose.
Also look at the reviews of te-5b or te-5t.
Just searched it up and,
>This special IEM is a limited product, as Hyla claims; only 200 units are available worldwide.
I think it was available on ebay or somewhere else this spring when I was looking for an iem to get. Try googling it up.
Otherwise, as i've said, the newer te-5's should be still available.
Those 3 are japanese-tuned - exactly for jpop and other vocal-heavy songs.
Oriolus reborn (or mk2) may be worth researching too. And cheaper.
Andromeda, which you mention would be a solid choice. A bitch to match with a source though. But you can andjust your sound through it.
There are also kumitate labs products. Sirius, for example. Those are customs.
what de/wm is that?
Where do you live, user? What city, I mean?
cinnamon + mint y-dark theme blue + hand coded conky + fractal cycling gradient in real time as background
BNE
>Falling asleep with T2s
How
spent all this money on portable shit
just listen to my music on my pc anyway
Based.
>fractal cycling gradient in real time as background
cpu hog
need something for 250 eur
V shaped more or less, preferably wireless but wire will work too, also, can i just use a meme adapter or something to use bluetooth(i know the sound is shit but its really convinient to do things around the house while listening to music)
They are pretty good. Not even joking.
The problem with these kinds of headphones is that you constantly have to be charging them with cable. TWS IEMs you can simply pop in the charging case that lasts for days.
Thoses are not Bluetooth.
Is there an ER4(SR) sounding iem without the deep insertion?
Honestly nothing I've ever heard sounds as good as those but the microphonics and ear rape ain't too fun.
Oh? When I put Bose Soundsport in google, all I see is wireless headphones.
>2019
>anime
CA Comet is v-shaped, iirc.
>expensive af placebo hardware wasted on listening degenerate weaboo pedo cancer
find Jesus, your life is vain and worthless.
Ran a shit and Ayaneru is even shittier, you should be ashamed of posting that fucking abomination
get some speakers instead, or one day youll go deaf.
What do ?
I thought that the QT5 was a better QT2? And the dt have weird fucked up timbre.
>Falling asleep with anything in your ears
just don't.
Nothing really comes close really They are a niche product so there's not many options. You can get some really balanced/flattish like the TSMR 3 the NiceHCK DT600 and the FiiO FA1 but nothing is as flat as the etys.
kek
TWS not even once.
I mean, I considered either of those because it's hard to find semi-open, not-so-sibilant iems.
both are sibilant as shit
A very particular sound, not often duplicated. The ones that come to my mind are all custom.
>microphonics
Not what that is called. Not something earphones can do.
As for the cable, loop it over the ear.
>ear rape
Try new tips. Or a good amount of EQ on something else.
Is there any that is not that treble-friendly then?
>There are people who pay out the ass for snake oil DAPs and IEMs who listens to nothing but anime OSTs
Literally, unironically have sex
Everyone else calls it microphonics. Its the rubbing noise of the cable being transmitted to the canal.
what u poor ?
Yinyoo V2 should gravitate around this price range.
Nope, because I don't waste money on snake oil products.
DACs don't sound different retard. Enjoy your snake oil
fookin liar.
They do if they are badly designed. Low noise floor low distortion high linearity and tonal flatness are all quantifiable very noticeable (up to a certain point) and these qualities can vary widely between between items. All well designed DACs sound nearly the same though.
What's the point of these? Letting musicians hear what their effects rigs are sending to the PA system while acting as earplugs so they don't go deaf(er), right?
I don't know why else you'd want flat response but worse than proper studio monitors.
Tried some $999 shure 846 iems, they do sound a bit better than my $30 kz zs6 iems but not by much, I wasn't blown away or anything. Are my ears fucked or is chifi really what it's made out to be?
se846 known for being blown out niggerbass. 535 are the shures you want for actually good sound
Kill yourself normalfag, probably has friends
>theres two types of of pedophiles
still traumatized from desktop threads?
>Quantifiable differences in sound reproduction
>"Snake oil lol"
No, snake oil is shit like using exotic hardwood for electric guitars
>figured maple sounds better man!
>the jatoba fretboard really brings out the warmth
Imagine making a digital keyboard out of authentic ebony because "the tone-keys man, you don't understand, it changes the attack of the note in a way something identical to ebony in density does not"
Microphonics is electromechanical as suggested by the name, like a microphone. Vibration affecting electronic performance, turning into noise and other electrical distortions. This already had an existing definition relevant to audio, so how does this word get mutated?
The white filter is probably the best one to use. Other filters are too tilted overall.
>chifi really what it's made out to be
Rather, it's that the "high-end" is not all that great.
>he couldn't afford an all-ebony guitar
Enjoy guitar solos that don't seer with the blistering hatred of a norwegian winter storm fag
now THAT is a wide soundstage
The triple flange were honestly not too bad. But it added with the ((microphonics)) was a definite no go. I would just love something that is as revealing/flat is comfy.
Thanks anyways.
Yea literally everyone calls it microphonics
Chifi is embodyment of the 90/10 rule in the sense that 10% of the cost gets you 90% there.
If your goal is to get a really good listening device to enjoy content with, Good ChiFi is awesome. Most of the Chifi IEMs are also low-distortion/consistent enough to use as monitors / use for mixing , if you want them for that.
They're also durable as fuck compared to the consumer-level earbud trash.
If you want to obsess over every single detail on a few simillar tracks, sure, and have no problem paying hundreds of dollars for decent, but not massive improvements, maybe going the next step to actually premium IEMs makes sense.
Be sure to get a decent cable with your chifi stuff as well. Makes the whole thing a lot comfier. $11 Yinyoo 16 core meme cables are great.
You literally outed ironic weebs
Send that image to jabra with the letters "Help"
I ordered the moondrop crescent, I wonder if I'll be disappointed or not, was looking for something fairly neutral and with somewhat decent bass.

$10 Panasonics, se215
Must be durable. Must be wireless. Must be comfy. Isolation not important. Sound quality somewhat important.
Paying way above the limit of where diminishing returns kicks in is snake oil, my man
That or just listen to music because they make exceptional earphones. IEMs is also a catch-all for all non-shit in-ears.
All shure are shit. They haven't made any improvement in the past 20y.
Mifo 05 balanced armature or TFZ X1E
You sound like a normalfuck
4 simple letters.
S T A X
se215 are good for the price, se535 are quite good for what they are
>ITT: idiots spending more money on playback hardware than was spent to create the original audio + recording it in the first place
>ITT: idiots that think they're improving on the original
You people, always good for some belly laughs, thanks.
se215 is straight up garbage and se535 is outperformed by chinkshit at a fraction of the price.
A bit over a week ago I've got revonext qt2s, because I wanted to try out over the ear cable and the different form factor, as all I've ever used before was just some cheap earbuds.
So, after trying them out for a while I'm surprised that I never really saw anyone talk about comfort levels or rather lack of it. The over ear cable rubs around the ear a bit and sometime feels like it's cutting into the ear slightly, the big housing of the earphone just barely fits into the ear "chamber" and if the metal parts rests a bit against the cartilage that is around the ear it causes quite a lot of pain, so needs constant readjustment, if you're on the move.
In general, they don't really stay in, if you're active. I'd say because of their relatively heavy weight, it's just that over the ear cable does make sure they never actually fall out, still requires me to push them in/adjust every so often, which is getting annoying.
Also, I noticed that over time the volume of music would drop till it actually mutes, then figured out that if you shake the the microphone part of the cable, it starts lowering the volume. Is there a way to disable this? Honestly it's hard to believe this, but I'm not making it up.
On the plus side the sound quality is great though. The metal housing feels nice to hold, neat looking.
Been thinking of returning it, if possible. And would probably get tin audio t2. Or would I run into similar problems?
Maybe someone could recommend something for around 50 euros? Prefer comfort, durability and sound isolation. I liked the detachable cable a lot. Sound wise I was perfectly happy with qt2s. I work in a noisy environment, so sound quality isn't as important as being able to wear them for 8 hours.
Afterglow sucks.
You have a defective unit. Return it. You also seem to have small ears on top of them being sensitive. The T2 shouldn't cause you any problems like this but it sounds completely different. Be sure to take a look at reviews before ordering.
Anyone got recommendations for cheap mid-centric buds? Wanna wear something before sleeping.
