isnt that dead though?
works on my machine
>older than debian, releases more or less every year
>dead
debian releases every two years. what's your point
>releases more or less every year
>not being roll and release
>being such an old boomer and having no recollection of time that even outdated software seems new
Get with tthe times gramps and install Arch
That Slackware is not dead and doesnt break lamo
no thanks i'm heterosexual
Say good arguments why should I use slackware
ah roger that
I'll stick with Arch and not have to compile everything like it's 1999, thanks.
if youre going to shill then post your own arguments. i dotn care about some philosophy
eat shit faggot if you never used slackware you don't need to know about it go play with linux mint
Its the win7 of linux, rarely breaks, very complete system has a ton of tools available right out of the install but not running making its memory footprint real small.
Breddy gud if you're not a brainlet
slackware is good but i prefer bleeding edge on desktop use
definitely good for servers or machines that arent updated often
slackware is beast
*loses support*
Using it right now.
That's great, but I'm just doing just fine actually having a package manager (Portage).
*makes you manually recompile in order*
>uses linux
>doesnt even know how to automate things
>doesnt even know how to use the built in tools to do package management
Give up negro, this is not for your kind.
>uses linux
>his time is so worthless that he has to automate trivial crap that should work out of the box
Seems about right.
>this is what the slacker believes
lmao, neck yourself elitist.
good distros do this for you.
I can count in my hands the software I have to compile in fedora because my distro isn't shit
Slackware is the fucking DEFINITION of working out of the box. It's the least maintenance heavy distro out there. Find me a distro more stable than Slackware, I will wait.
>being such a brainlet you cant even type sbopkg -i package
Maybe the appstore is more appropriate to your level fren
Centos
playing the elitist little shit, i too remember being 14 years old
as much as I liked playing with gentoo or slackware they are pieces of shit distros made for hobbysts, at least gentoo is easier to use and has the purpose to build a customized operative system.
slackware fills no niche other than being a bunch of user maintained shit. gentoo has almost every package there is as official build scripts
am i the only one who thought of the half life menu for a split second?
slackware is pure 90s
old good
new bad
I faggot
you faggest
best computing era
