phanetks p600s is good

EVGA is offering 0% financing on 20xx series GPUs. You should put it in the OP.

What would be the reasonable build for ~$1200-1300 after Zen 2, Navi and RTX Super are here?
I'm thinking of 3800x with some videocard for around $350. Not sure how to feel about base RTX 2060 with 6gb of memory though.

In what instance is that wrong?

Desperate

2000 series is only slightly worse (at 1080p) and 3000 series will be better than intcel

well, to be honest, pricing for GPU's is horrid right now. Just wait for Super™ to be revealed. It should drive prices down for the regular RTX cards.

But if you really have to buy for your Zen2 build, you can always pop in a 1070Ti

if you need to finance something cheaper than a house you should not be buying it

Supposedly RTX isn’t selling so it’s just a matter of holding out until their leather jacket cracks

Anyone?

besides MSI having the flashback feature, does anyone know of or have a list of other brand's X470 motherboards that will work out of the box with Zen 2? I dont have an older zen

So it's only wrong in a potential future scenario?

Is this less retarded?

GPU too expensive
$300 gets you a 1070, v56, v64 (blower) etc

i5's age like milk, don't even recommend that shit.

Currently running a R5 2600x with a Vega 64 and 16GB RAM on an X470 board using a 27" 1440p 144hz monitor. Game on WQHD at ultra settings. Thinking of dropping in a R7 3800X when available. What gains in FPS can I expect?

Wait for benchmarks. Need this be said?

Why does the url say >2gb
Its an 8gb card
Also the one I bought. Last gen, but possibly the best price/perf that isnt a 1660 atm

Are we go if to basically see the same thing with the 3600x that we saw with the 2600x for games? Like the how there is almost no difference on gaymin between the 2600x and 2700x. I hope the same thing applies to the 3700x and 3600x.

Thx u based Senpai. I just need to be patient.

You stupid fucking intcel. They are already out. God you people need to fuck off.

according to that press photo, there should be no performance difference between 3200 cl14 and 3600cl16, correct?
so it's just going for whichever kit, is within spec and is cheapest?

basically yeah

Bamp.

What if I validate a cheapo licence and reformat? I don't have a computer to try it on atm.

Ok nvm, i will do that, it werks.

I just found a deal for a gtx 970 new for 130$
Is it worth it in 2019 or go for 570?

word on the street is super has been canceled

Thinking of upgrading to ryzen 3600 when they come out from my i7 4770k.

Worth it?

What was leaked was just too embarrassing to go through with?

essentially. it was such a minor performance upgrade but with increased cost it would drive more sales to AMD

I see the Intel shill started this one.

In a similar situation; currently have a i7 4790k and I think it's finally time to pull the trigger. I might switch over to Ryzen but I know how AMD is with their chips; there's always hype but it always under delivers.

Why not just sage and hide the stupid intelaviv thread? Why go through all this effort to give (Yous) to these desperate intarded dumpsterfore swiss cheese defective CPU shills?

How many vulnerabilities are there for intel now anyway? 30+? 40+? 40++++++++++++?

Attached: Witcher.png (1314x1192, 53K)

Does AMD have a NUC equivalent?
Intel sells their NUC 8th gen on the cheap now. $419 for the i7 with 655 intel graphics. Add to that a 250gb m2 and 8gb of 2400 RAM you scratch $500.

deskmini A300

Is 92-138 PPI a good range to start looking for a monitor that doesn't require scaling?

I got it from a local shop selling it for cheap, guess know I know why.
I've also read that a lot of problems can be avoided by disabling 0rpm fan mode

The deskmini is fine and all, but intel's NUC APU rapes vega igraphics. The desk also is loud af and much bigger.

To its credit it supports raid 0 and 1.

Give it to me straight boys. Is a 9700k a bad buy right now if all I want to do is game? I have a 2080Ti and 165HZ 1440p gsync monitor. I want to push World of Warcraft and all my other fancy games at their absolute max without dropping settings. Is the Ryzen 3xxx going to be worth it? I do a shit load of video encoding and was going to get the 3950X in September, but I'm honestly at the point where I'd just repurpose my existing 1700X and spare 32GB ram to use solely as an encoding server while I get a game centric CPU for my main build.

TL;DR
9700k right now and retire 1700X for encoding? Or wait for 3950X and have a single PC that can do it all?

Attached: sx8093iydjv01.jpg (1500x1022, 560K)

holy shit based

dude, its just 10 days cmon now. youve waited 30years to lose your virgnitity, what are 10 more days?

Jokes on you, I'm not a virgin. Gave my virginity to my pastor. And yeah I suppose. I'm just sick of dropping into the 60s in WoW because my CPU is struggling to keep up.

>that image
remember when AMD shills said that witcher 3 is the worst case scenario for their CPUs?

Plan on building a PC with 3950x.

Will there be an non-gaming boards available for it? I dont need a riced-out board since it will be in a completely enclosed case...

Also buy an RX580 now? Don't plan on heavy gaming usage. Will probably not end up gaming at all...

Asus X570 WS-Ace. Only board thus far with guaranteed ECC support and has VRMs on par with the highest end boards.

if getting the cpu pins to contact with "more" force is important in the big processors like threadripper and xeon etc, whats stopping someone from making a mobo with the processor integrated into it from the start?
Could someone potentially make a faster server/pc if the mobo and CPU were one part?

>Btfos their opponents in what was one of the worst cases
>S-s-stop posting this now goy

From normiebook marketplace

>$200

>Alienware Aurora R4 Gaming Desktop

>Selling as is to someone who can fix it or for parts

Is this worth?

look at your post now back to mine, now back to yours
Where did I say any of that?

Parts all rather outdated. No idea with that specific case but alienware does have strange setups in some of them so the case might be difficult to build something new in.

Overall not worth the effort

Mobo is MSI B450 A Pro

If yes why, if no why.

Am i stupid for contemplating buying a RTX 2070 super?

I have a genuine use for the virtualink port.

No. 2400G iGPU build would do you better than that.

ask a better question

At $500+, yes, stupid.

>same gpu, same ram freq, different coolers, different mb and timings

difference in the spanish 3600 review(on the right) from 2700x to 3600 is 17.9%
applying this to the other benchmarks 2700x we get 134,4fps, because 114*1.179=134.4

Make up your own mind, but it seems you'll get a i5 9600k with more multicore power if you buy a ryzen 5 3600 for $200 instead.

>ask a better question
kys?

Newfag here. I'm looking at building my first ever PC with the upcoming new AMD chip. Can someone explain to me the ram issue with the Ryzen? It looks like with Intel you can almost put any type of ram into the motherboard and the CPU works with it, but Ryzen seems to be a little picky for some reason.

Infinity fabric works best with 3200c14-3733c16 ram. That's where you get the most performance out of it.
If you speak about RAM compatibility, it got cleared with zen+. First gen Ryzen had terrible compatibility.

I'm planning on gaming with a 1440p 144hz monitor.

Is a 2080ti essentially necessary for this or could I get by with a weaker card?

Should I upgrade from a i3-6100 to i7-7700k? I currently have a 1050ti and 8 gigs of RAM, but my motherboard can't overclock. Would it be better to get another motherboard and a mid-range Ryzen instead?

a RTX2080 non-Ti will not average above 144fps maxed out on hard to run games, but exceeding 60fps very easily. If you play less intensive games even cheaper GPUs will do the job.

You could probably get a 3600+board for cheaper than the 7700k alone and it'd be much better.

That's supposedly fixed in Zen2. It's just memory compatibility. Intel has had CPUs using DDR4 for much larger.
Or just get an MSI board and you're fine on current gen.

what would be a cheap video card for running driving simulators (like ets2) on 3 screens?
I was using a gtx 1060 and it worked well but I had to sell it and now I'm looking for a cheaper alternative, what's the lowest I could go and still achieve 60 fps on 3 screens?

Anyone with an actually brain got thoughts on why the memory write speed is fucked on all Zen2 tests so far? It's literally half what it should be, even on the most recent agesa 1.0.0.3

I'm in the market for a 240mm-280mm radiator. Suggestions? I have a 2700x.

I think even AMD doesn't know how to get a BIOS that works properly with Zen2 and RAM yet. Remember someone saying here that was a big reason for the delay initially

Explains why the sanctioned benchmark is geekbench, the only one that doesn't include a memory write test.

Noctua NH-D15 or Be Quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4

Why when you get ram it's advertised to run at 3600mhz but in reality it's defaulted to around 2100? The highest clock I could get on my set is 2999 or something like that.

What's your board?

XMP.
Your memory controller sucks and can't reach the speeds it's rated for.

Those are air coolers. I'd like to get the Noctua one you mentioned, but it's a little too tall for my case. Thermaltake H17.

Attached: 20190626_235242.jpg (4032x3024, 3.78M)

amazon.com/MSI-ProSeries-Micro-ATX-Motherboard-B450M/dp/B07FJ8V8FV/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=b450m&qid=1561619781&s=gateway&sr=8-3
This is the board I got, should I upgrade? I also got a 2700x in there.

Probably, it's a budget board. But would I really see any improvement? Even when I have them clocked at 2999mhz I don't feel or see a difference in multitasking. Even when I'm running intensive virtual synths.

It's not the board, the memory controller is on the CPU.
You could get up to 3200 probably if you threw a bit more DRAM voltage at it.

Hey everyone, user from last thread here, didn't really get any replies so asking here again.
My motherboard shit itself and I need to buy a new one, I currently have an i7-4790k and ddr3 ram in it. As far as I understand, my cpu is comparably old for an intel, would it make sense to just get AMD stuff? And if I do, don't most boards use ddr4 nowadays? I guess my entire budget would be around 300 euros. Hope somebody can help

Attached: 0145566845.gif (540x540, 395K)

Friendly remind that air cooling is INFERIOR

bit-tech.net/reviews/tech/cooling/corsair-h100i-pro-rgb-review/2/

And the only reason they look good in reviews is because Intel's semen interface material has been bottlenecking heat transfer to the cooler for over half a decade now.

Anything recent from Corsair like the h100i pro or h115i pro, or NZXT Kraken x52 or x62.

Fractal Design nigguh

The Meshify S2 is a bad meme.

Get another 100 or so europesos and you can do a full Ryzen 3600 + mobo + 16gb setup

When you progress beyond 1080p you become more GPU bound, but what is the lowest tier possible for reasonable 1440p performance? 1070/Vega or better? I'm used to console gaming despite having a few gaming PC's over the years so I'm not really that anal about 60+ fps.

I might do, is it really worth it? Also what mobo do I get then?
